First and foremost, I commend Mr. Julius Malema for condemning the violent attack on foreigners in SA. The xenophobic attack in SA is as a result of a failed government. SA Citizens or (Indigenes) tend to blame immigrants for the poor situation in the country instead of holding there govt accountable. And the govt tends to blame the foreigners for failing to deliver on their campaign promises. A crime is a crime. if a person commits a crime either a South African citizen or a foreigner e.g drug peddling, rape, prostitution, robbery etc, that person should be reported to the appropriate authority. Rather some indigenous miscreants in the SA society tend to capitalize on some flimsy excuse to loot and cause mayhem in the society. Of course, the immigrant becomes the scapegoat, getting all the blame. Another point I want to mention is the rhetoric of politicians before the election “The blame game” Immigrants are coming to steal jobs meant for the citizens”. That is the propaganda before an election to win votes and after the election when they fail to deliver on promises being made they start all over again blaming the foreigners. When a white man comes to SA he is called an investor. When it’s a black man he is an immigrant who has come to steal jobs.” We see and hear the same thing in countries all over the world, how leaders blame immigrants for all the crimes in the country. The so-called immigrants are ready to do the job the indigenes have refused to do. The irony of it all is that the whites SA are not seen as foreigners ( An not against the whites SA) just saying that we blacks have to stand up in solidarity and wake up to the fact that our African leaders all over the continent have failed us. We should blame them for the poor economy, bad infrastructure, and inequality. The inequality in SA is very high where whites makeup about 8.7% of the population and control 85% wealth, 6000 European families own over 85% of agricultural lands no wonder the gap btw the rich white SA and the blacks SA is very wide. So the anger in SA by the less privileged blacks is misplaced out of ignorance. I don’t condone violence for whatever reason, we should learn to live as one. Protest should be peaceful and constructive. United we stand and divided we fall. Africa Unite
When it's God's time, the peace will be restored.
