It’s the last lap. Tires are shot. I understand Truex being upset. But, ya gotta block to hold on to your spot.

Let’s all agree, just move on truex. It’s frustrating to wreck on the last lap, but you can’t blame Ross, he just tried to keep his position. I’m also a JGR fan, I just hope they can resolve the problems occurring in the team.

Ross was not the reason Martin wrecked. In that case, you wreck Ross because he blocked late. Martin should not have backed out there.

love MTJ but blocking is a part of NASCAR. spinning out or taking him out is up to you at that point.
It was just hard racing where Ross Chastain was racing to keep his position for the finish. If the roles had been reversed Truax would’ve been called out from fans saying he was a typical Gibbs dirty driver.

That was Truex fault could have just blipped the throttle or tapped the brakes. Ross made a single move that was far from erratic to defend his position.

Everyone keeps saying Truex was unhappy, but in the video he just talked to him and was even smiling. He never said anything about it over the radio, Chastain talks as if they didn't talk about much at all and I have yet to see any interviews from Truex talking about it. Is it possible Truex had no issue with Chastain's move?

Ross is going to block. He doesn’t have to move out of the way for JGR drivers. I sure wouldn’t have moved for him. Truex should have done more in the race to better his position instead of blaming someone else for his shortcomings.

Ross is showing up Harvick is what he's doing after Kevin said about him two years ago. The thing is, Ganassi sold his team with everything in place for Trackhouse to be successful and got two hungery young drivers to be competitive. Times are changing with a new guard coming in!

@@CJL4x look at the facts buddy. Not only do you like your own comment showing a bit of narcissism. (Yes it may be someone else but seeing your manner of speech I have a hard time believing it), but your statement is a one of quick thinking and does have any informational value. If you look farther back than 9 seconds before the incident you will see that there are a few logical facts that help conclude my opinion. For one look at the 2 driving styles. MTJ is knkwn as sort of a Mark Martin of today with his squeaky clean driving style. Chastain is a rough and aggressive driver that has many altercations with other drivers. Already not good for chastain. Secondly MTJ has been blocked several times in this race and in this series of laps, and hes finally squezzed a run to the outside, do you think a veteran driver like MTJ is gonna try to turn someone in an unstable car when he has a run to the outside? And do you think Chastain is gonna just let him by on the final lap even though he was aggressive throughout the last series of laps? I dont think so. Truex has a set formula that has given him next to no rivalries and only a few altercations. The last race I can recal him having any temper with another driver is Jimmie Johnso n back in 2018 roval when he was rightfully upset with jimmie for taking him out added to the stress of the team shutting down. Its just not a truex thing to do.

That's not what happened. Truex had a run on Chastain. He tried to block Truex when he wasn't clear. Truex got out of the throttle and then overcorrected, which is a real headscratcher considering the fact that it was the last lap. If Truex doesn't lift, Chastain gets into the outside wall and Truex sneaks past to get 3rd.
I am a ross fan but I respect truex too. im kinda in the middle about this, it wasn't truex's fault, he just had a run and CHASTAIN came to block, but he was somewhat clear and thats racing for 3rd on the last lap, anyone would block in that situation

Truex is just mad because he got punk’d on national tv. Ross threw the block because he knew he wouldn’t get moved. Truex panicked and wrecked himself. His anger was because he was embarrassed.
Considering the fact that it was the last lap of the race and Truex got out of the throttle when Chastain blocked him is a headscratcher. Had he never lifted, Chastain probably gets into the outside wall and Truex sneaks past to get 3rd. Instead, he backs out, overcorrects, hits the inside wall but still crosses the finish line, albeit in 12th instead of 4th.
Remember, Gibbs drivers are royalty, you can’t outrace them, they’re the only ones that can block and take spots. Poor sportsmanship from MTJ.

Truex wrecks behind Chastain and then get mad at him...lol I could understand Martin getting upset if Ross was a lapped car, but they are RACING FOR POSITION ON THE LAST LAP!! I kinda like both drivers, but really....grow up, Truex. .......... of course, their discussion may have been about something completely different, so if that's the case, I'll reserve my judgement..

Another reason NASCAR is fading out. The drivers are starting to sound like IndyCar cry-babies.
While having a ton of Mark Martin in your personal make-up I believe is a good thing, it can be & often is to your detriment on a racetrack. Martin should have simply booted Ross out of his way when Ross blocked him, but in true MTJ style, he tried to miss the #1 car & ended up wrecking himself instead. IMO, Truex was more angry at himself, than he was at the Melon man 🤷🏻♂️

I've seen TH-camrs act the same way in their video game races throwing a fit because the other cars don't pull over for them. Then they trash the game because of it.
Huge MTJ fan! Ross is just being Ross,and thats how he races. That being said,Truex did have that line to pass him. And Ross blocked him. Ross races aggressively every lap. I personally like it. But most drivers would of let Truex finish the pass. It was for one position,one point. Truex finished 12th instead of 3rd or 4th. Truex shoulda known that was coming with who was in front of him. Shoulda been content with 4th and the points etc. I get why MTJ was upset! I bet ya MTJ races Ross the same way,every lap of a race now! Go MTJ #19!!! If this is Truex’s last year. Truex went to pass, Chastain blocked, and Truex reached the limit of his talent. Ever since he fell under the JGR banner, he's been whiny and entitled... which seems to be the JGR hallmark.

I don't normally see Martin do things like this. It was very strange. I don't think ross did anything wrong either. Any other driver would have done the same thing. I was surprised at Martin.
He did nothing weird, just went up to Ross to ask him what happened there. These cars are weird because of the rear view camera, the symmetrical bodies, and the closing rates.
The problem with NASCAR's your allowing blocking more than once not that that's what happened here but having watched NASCAR since Nascar has been on television for 50 years blocking is nonsense you either have the fastest car or you don't and if you don't get out of the way
Hard racing. Truex Jr. has always been a crybaby. Let’s not forget how mad he got at a lapped car for not moving quick enough even though it was an entire straightaway ahead of him.
Listen no one knows what was said between Martin and Ross. They looked to be discussing that lap, but things did not get out of hand between those 2 or the pitcrews. MTJ is a clean driver and he would rather race for position instead of wrecking for it. Ross is an upcoming star in Nascar and I like Ross. But my driver is and always will be MTJ, and all those crybaby comments is utter nonsense. Martin is a champion twice in Xfinity and once in Cup. And 3 times runner-up in the Championship. He's a HOF in the future. Can anyone else who is writing all this nonsense say the same thing. And the most important person in MTJ's life, Sherry, is fighting for her life. So MTJ goes out every weekend and races because that helps him to take his mind off of it for a few hours. He still has a lot left in his tank for more wins and when they do figure this new car out, all the naysayers better watch out....
