    If you need a good idea for some Warhammer 40k Terrain, look no further than walkways. These are so versatile, you will never have enough of them to go on a table. They work well between buildings, or even just sitting on the ground.
    In this video. I'll show you how I build a bunch of these with a process that makes it very fast. The walkways have two really nice features which I haven't seen any other crafters do:
    - They attach to endpoints with magnets.
    - Can transition to any elevation since the endpoints are flexible.
    The materials used are:
    - Cardboard (corrugated + cereal box)
    - Chipboard (amzn.to/34TIUw6)
    - Thin Sheet Metal (amzn.to/3pvJLuL)
    - Drywall Mesh Tape (amzn.to/3rBBYgP)
    - Chicken Wire 1/2 inch pattern (amzn.to/3hrV6JF) (I mentioned 1/4 inch in video, but that was a mistake, I actually used 1/2 inch spacing)
    - Paper
    - Oil Based Primer
    - Craft Paints

    Gotta remember if the railings are built waist high for a normal human it’s gonna look a bit small on a space marine in power armor and you also have the base height throwing it off too

    I’m probably, no I’m definitely not going to build any of these, but I love watching them get made and seeing the end product it’s very satisfying.

      Thanks! I wanted to solve the problem with slanted ramps looking makeshift :P sometimes you want more structure

    Kilz is great for coating surfaces. There is a water based one in a paint on version. Not sure if they have it in a spray and the water based one doesn't smell nearly as bad.

    • @KnarbMakes
      @KnarbMakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah! I think they might. They also have a shellac based one I've been meaning to try.

    I'm starting to wonder if terrain makers on YT are not all starting to be drawn into some sort of mass consciousness...I have a walkway on my bench now that I started a couple weeks ago...other than the flexible ends its almost exactly like these. Subliminal messages that start to guide us? I dunno. In any case, these are most excellent. :-)

    • @KnarbMakes
      @KnarbMakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, maybe. I've been wanting to male a set of these for a while. Mostly inspired by Eric's Hobby Workshop build a while back.

    How did you make this so fast?!
    Rob Hawkins did the same thing with walkways for the building he made for me . . .flexible ends with magnets. But don't all the building edges need metal inside of them to connect? That's where I stopped.

    • @KnarbMakes
      @KnarbMakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah ok, I haven't seen that video. Yeah, having a thin strip of sheet metal on your buildings helps this lock in place, I've started adding strips or just making the whole top section from the same sheet metal i made these from.
