Great response the James. Stormwind is an excellent channel, always worth watching. I didn't expect you to show Chic, or own one of their records for that matter. Nice choices with the beer, neck oil is very nice, a go to for me if it's on tap in the pub
Love a bit of Chic mate, Bernard Edwards and Nile Rogers were a killer team. Yeah James is a great guy. Love a bit of Neck Oil for sure,.lovely stuff
Man I love the John Bush era. I always liked Vol 8 by Anthrax. You have a killer collection mate. Cheers
Bush era is very underrated mate. Cheers Mark
Hi Mr Boulder. Glad you are getting in to Vol 8, personally I love it and rank it as one of their best 4, I could never understand why so many reviewers had it towards the bottom. Maybe it's time to re-visit St Anger (haha)? I love that one too, love the raw sound and heaviness. You have a good day. Cheers
Cheers Colin. Yeah Volume 8 is excellent, can't believe I used to dislike it. I've revisited St Anger quite a bit lately and now quite enjoy it. Cheers fella
Excellent entry James! I still enjoy Amon Amarth but mainly their earlier stuff. I'm glad you've started to enjoy Immolation & Nile. Anthrax's Volume 8.... is still not one of my favorites from them but I'm glad you enjoy it now. Motley Crue died after Dr. Feelgood. Everything else they've released doesn't come close to their earlier stuff. Good luck with James's contest!
Chees Tony, much appreciated as always mate
Hi James!!! cool entry and nice responses too...... i revisited Anthrax's Vol.8 thanks to my brother's collection and you know what, it's not that bad as i remembered it. Agree about big festivals, i rather prefer a smaller one were i can actually see the band (lol). Hope you have an awesome Bloodstock next year with your mates.... cheers and be well
Yeah Volume 8 is an album I have a lot more time for these days. Smaller festivals are definitely better Cristian. Cheers as always mate 👍
Awesome entry! We're in the same boat regarding Amon Amarth. I actually didn't know Download used to be Donnington Mosters of Rock. Best of luck in the draw!
Yeah I don't get the fuss about those guys at all. Oh wow really. Was better as Donnington Monsters of Rock. Cheers Kim
@@mrboulder9714 Yeah, Donningtong was legendary. Download always seemed lame to me... just the name of the festival is cringey :D
Nice entry to James' contest James! Nile I really need to check out, I will probably next year. I think Pantera changed their style for the better, but I would say that! I listened to that Immolation album about 2 months ago, loved it! I said Download for my answer to go to, been interesting to see so many say it doesn't interest them. I'd only go once and once only, but it's true what everyone says. There's like 4 or 5 decent bands and it's not worth the money to go. I'd like to go Bloodstock, I know you love going each year. Best of luck in the draw mate 😊🤘
I could probably make a decent one day out of the whole Download weekend. You really do need to check out Nile mate. Cheers Josh
@@mrboulder9714 Haha yeah man, me too! Yeah I know, they've been a band I've wanted to check out for the longest time! Well over a year now! I will listen to them very soon. You're welcome mate! 😊🤘
Excellent response, James! Yes, I completely agree about AMON AMARTH; musically, they sound alright, but I don' find much of their material all that distinct or memorable. It's interesting that you discovered NILE via a blind buy; brilliant band! I was a late starter with IMMOLATION, too. I'm not all that heavily into them, but I do enjoy their music, and they were amazing when I saw them live! Yep, I like all eras of PANTERA too, especially the glam metal phase! 'Power Metal' was probably the best balance between the old and new eras. I actually think that the self-titled MOTLEY CRUE is one of their best, even though it's not the classic sound of the band. Your rant about 'Generation Swine' was hilarious! A lot of people seem to dislike Download festival, haha! Sounds like a rip-off! But I'd love to go to Bloodstock one day. Cool beers you featured here! Thanks a lot for taking the time to make a video response, and for all of your support! Cheers!
Really enjoyed the questions you set mate. Bloodstock has a decent size capacity that isn't overpowering definitely. Nile and Immolation are killer Death Metal bands. Cheers my friend
1. Pantera.
2. Sacred Reich.
3. Annihilator - Set the World On Fire.
4. Motörhead. Don't get me wrong, I love Motörhead, but for some reason I just never been that fast about checking them out at first.
5. Sepultura. From groove to solid thrash again.
6. Hard rock or phonk.
7. Destruction - The Least Successfull Human Cannonball.
8, 9, 10. Don't know. I much prefer local or just smaller concerts with 3 or 4 bands.
11. Mocny Ful.
Cheers for watching and commenting fella 👍
I have a good live double album of Amon Amarth and that's really all I need. They're very samey really. I've never got in Nile. Donington died after 1988 to me. The 1990 was a bad balance of bands. Every band was glam. I went in 92 and i actually went somewhat ironically. I'd largely moved on by then but I enjoyed Wasp Skid Row and Slayer. 94 was ok with Seps and Pantera and a few more but I totally lost touch with it after that for years
I remember listening to the 1992 Donnington on Radio 1 all day (sign of the times) 95 was really good. Nile is one of my favourite Death Metal bands. Cheers mate
Broad taste
Definitely. Thanks for watching
