You can propagate with Kalanco leave. Just insert leaf stack in fine sand or fine soil media. Best time to propagate in India is Aug. so that you can have flowering in Dec. Jan and Feb.
Great video. I was late in taking cuttings from my Kalanchoe and the mother plant is left looking rather ruined, but i saved all smaller branches and new leafs from the base stem. Do you think it can be saved? Despite this, thanks for showing me how to save all the cuttings!
Can you tell me how much water kalanchoe require? And what happens to them in summer. Mine was in full bloom for months during winter and now I can't see them all leaves and many leaves are drying.. kindly guide
Hi..It's the first time I am watching your video..very informative..My Kalanchoe plant leaves are all faded and dropped..and stems have turned black..any advise on how can make it alive..feeling bad..
Can i do the same with any kalanchoe variant? i work in a retail store and we have just received the Pearl Bells variant which i'm gonna get and wanna propagate.
I just bought my first one and it was in bloom, but now the flowers are just about gone. I found out that they only bloom on short days, like the christmas cactus. So now after deadheading hundreds of past flowers, I would have to wait till Fall to see a new batch of flowers.
My cuttings are still green, but they have developed calluses. I will put them in a pot tomorrow. One question, please. Can I put the cuttings straight away in the pot in which I want to keep them?
My kalanchoe plant suffered from root rotting as soon as I got it from nursery...I cut it's small branches and grow it but they also got rotting...pls suggest
In which month I can propagate kalanchoe.... I want to grow at this month that is June. Daily evening raining days now..... Will it success or not at this month
Best way to propagate is take out bottom leaves of the plant even if it is in blooming stage and insert in good soil media or fine sand and water sparingly since this a succulent.
I'm trying this and it has been 3 days but my cutting is still green as ever, it's a rather small cutting tho, about a thumb tall. Is it ready to be planted or do I have to wait until it's brown. The wound where I cut it off has healed
hi sir URGENT PLEASE HELP eVen i have a kalanchoe plant but the stem blackened but leaves were green slowly all leaves fell ans total stem turned black what should i do sir please help as fast as posssible please give some suggestions THANK YOU
after 15-18 days healthy roots will form ...water only when soil feels dry to touch ..u have to keep the soil little moist at all times for better growth ...but do not over water
Grow them in winter season...before planting make sure to callous the cuttings ...add 1/2 fungicide powder in the soil before planting to increase the success rate
thank you! I enjoy learning from you. Peacefully with out a bunch of music and at a good pace!
Best explanation of kalanchoe growth propagation video..thank you very much

My cuttings are still green, but they have developed calluses. I will put them in a pot tomorrow. One question, please. Can I put the cuttings straight away in the pot in which I want to keep them?
I have a dought.. Have you taken same cutting? The cuttings you cut first look like hybrid and next two cuttings look like local ones... Is it so?
yes but both types can be easily propagated through cuttings...my hybrid cuttings are flowering right now will share pics on my community section
Urban Gardener ok.. Thank you..
Another question please. is it good to apply a bit of honey on calluses before I put cuttings in a pot? Thank you so much for your time and advice.
Plant them directly in the potting mix ...they will grow easily
Thank you!
No need

Sure
Since the kalenchoe season is nearly over shall I propagate it now or wait till September?
September is the ideal time ma'am
Should I wait till the blooming is done to propagate by cutting?
no :)...they are very hardy plants ..cuttings can be easily grown with the buds or flowers
Best way to propagate is take out bottom leaves of the plant even if it is in blooming stage and insert in good soil media or fine sand and water sparingly since this a succulent.
