I love San Antonio. The river walk is so naturally beautiful and romantic for a couple-honeymoon destination. the closest thing to Venice, Italy-I have visited there (Venice) too. SA is quite hot and humid (uncomfortable) in summertime, so I recommend visiting during the cooler months (mild winter, usually not too cold) and Fiesta usually in April after Easter is nice but much more crowded and expensive. Enjoy a margarita or beer some Tex Mex and barbecue. Worth taking the family for a few days or week if you go there for a business reason or convention. Pretty safe city if you stay in the main tourist areas, but be careful in some parts of town for theft.
San Antonio Texas is definitely a must see when you go to visit the lone star state. I was so impressed at the beauty that the San Antonio river walk has to offer and I was not disappointed at all. As a Californian myself, I really did enjoyed my time here with the family. 👍
An amazing urban River that has been developed for 15 miles and one level below the bustling downtown streets of San Antonio. It is also at the center of a metropolitan area of 2.5 million people.
My family spent a great deal of time walking the green mile ,lol as I call it. It's really beautiful especially in the summer with it's own simplicity and enchantment. I'll be glad when downtown construction is finish.
I have such a love/hate relationship with the riverwalk. On one side it's one of the most fun yet not completely overwhelming locations I've ever been, making it really easy to relax and enjoy. On the other side it's in Texas, the state with some of my most shittest memories. Either way still beautiful thanks for the video!
I'm trying to guess when this was shot. It looks like from the shadows to be around 2 pm. The tourist;s clothing suggests late spring, May or so. And the river is not that crowded, so I'm guessing a week day. I saw a few USAF basic trainees on Town Pass, so that would have to make it a Fri or Sat. Judging by the lack of a crowd I'm going with Friday, 2 pm, early May. What do you say, dimeseo?
dimeseo Thanks for your reply. And, thanks for the video. I lived there from 1980 until 1984 and I return at least once each year with family and friends. In fact, I will be back in late March. One of the greatest places to be!
No mention of downtown riots that keep locals away now;that The Alamo is closed and surrounded by a riot high fence and concrete barriers built to defend against car attacks;; and the horrible 17 percent hotel tax!!
LOL three years later if you're still looking for that song its Samba Para Ti - Carlos Santana. this version on the video must of been from the local bamboo flute performer in San Antonio, he sells his albums by the mall entrance.
S.A. Sea world, Fiesta Texas Morgan’s wonderland an amusement park which is made especially for special needs children. 3 water parks in the area. Great food, culture, the Texas Hill country, 7 th largest city in the US. They just need a professional football team. But I love this city.
It's one of the oldest cities with the most provenance in the US, yet almost daily the city destroys something old for something new. I hate to break it to developers and an idiotic city council, but tourists come to SA BECAUSE it's an old city, and not a new one.
DUCK DYNASTY IS COMING! Yeh we heard about the Riverwalk - We are coming with our Film Production Crew. We heard that the Riverwalk is a great place to shoot ducks! Quack Quack
You do that and half of San Antonio will come at you with their own rifles, shotguns, and revolvers. We pack heat here too, but we are also super protective of our Riverwalk ducks.
Terrible Terrible terrible !!!! Take this down and redo the music ! It was like nails on a chalkboard ! I wanted to watch it but I couldn't get past the screeching of la llorona. I'm scared of dying now.
Ha, if you've been here during the height of tourist season you'd know there are always Andean pan pipe band performers stationed at the Riverwalk, usually around where the Rivercenter Mall (or whatever it's called now) is located. So the first half of the video is pretty accurate to the feel of the place IMO, LOL.
I truly miss San Antonio ,Texas with all my heart I left my heart there :(

This is making good use of the many canals, turning it into a tourist attraction. Just like we do here in the Netherlands.

I was born here and I've lived most of my life here. It's fun to see tourists enjoy the city that I know like the back of my hand. :)

Only think I don’t care for is the music at the mall they should change it up and bit often.
And what brand of video camera is that?
No mention of downtown riots that keep locals away now;that The Alamo is closed and surrounded by a riot high fence and concrete barriers built to defend against car attacks;; and the horrible 17 percent hotel tax!!
You buy this music at the Riverwalk at the River Center Mall?
LMAOOOOOOO
There's a band called Andean Fusion that plays at Rivercenter Mall.
great video. Can anyone tell me the artist and song name at 8:55 please?
Darude sandstorm
LOL three years later if you're still looking for that song its Samba Para Ti - Carlos Santana. this version on the video must of been from the local bamboo flute performer in San Antonio, he sells his albums by the mall entrance.
This is not the Complete Riverwalk, this maybe the complete boat tour. The Riverwalk it self runs for 15 miles from downtown all the way to the Zoo.
Hello can someone please tell me what song the first track is? We can't figure it out but it's so familiar & driving us nuts!! Thank you
I believe it's Andes, not sure on title.
Samba para ti - Carlos Santana (Original) The one in the video is a cover using a flute.
What's the name of the Saya music that comes in 4:25 ?
What happened to the radio?
nice ! video , 3/4 of the background music is Andean music , and you give credit to enya ! what's up with that!, please give credit where is due

This is the boat tour not the whole San Antonio Riverwalk, Today the Riverwalk is 15 miles long and goes from downtown, all the way to the Zoo.

And beware: SA has the highest room tax a whopping 17 percent hotel room tax and nearly as high as the famous resort tax Las Vegas!
Sorry that was do not live here now
