These last three chords at the end, which are the repetition of the beginning, break my soul in the middle, it's terrifying, horrifying, and at the same time sweet and nostalgic
Everybody has different bodies, hands, fingers... Most of what piano teachers teach is crap, non scientific things they repeat because it's what they've learnt from their teachers and so on... Learn what's better for yourself and don't listen most of what's taught in this matter, at least from people who doesn't justify appropiately it.
He is one of the best pianists of the XX century, considered the best by many, and no contemporary pianist is considered to be at his level, not even Pollini was I'd say from my taste, only Martha Argerich, of course he is still more famous than Kissin and Wang.
Hello, sorry for bothering. I was wondering - can i have a permission to use this sound for my vlog that I'm working on now? or can you tell me how can I get one? Thank you in advance for your help.
It is a problem of the video. It is in higher pitch and faster than the original recording. In other versions of this take in youtube the sound and the tempo are normal
To play this piece is not hard, but to play Horowitz' quality is totally in different category. His playing was so colorful and fun to listen.
This is an art!!!
To play it the way it’s suppose to be played, by intention of Chopin , is very hard. Technique is not fast playing only.
It's easy to play like this, I already tried it and the beginning was identical.
Grande, Horowitz ❤
@leonardodelyrarodrok 👍igues3752
I love to listen to Horowitz recordings but watching him play is really something else. His technique is so singular, clean and sober.
The most bittersweet of Chopin’s mazurkas brought to life and full expression by the most subtle and sublime of artists.
Now... THAT'S the true feeling & flow of a Mazurka! Bravo Vladimir! Bravo!
Never got to see a concert of him .. such a regret !! May you rest in peace, Maestro
What i would pay to listen to him in the 40's..

That's finest Jazz in Polish Mazurka-style.
Awesome
This song sounds so graceful!
Piece
So evocative! A haunting piece!
I started to hear another version when i just had to hear Horowitz play he was the Real thing
No one can play this Mazurka like Horowitz. Merlin-like magic.
M.Pletnev
Marvelous rendition.
Awesome! Horowitz in a class by himself.
Mazurki Fryderyka Chopina to kwintesencja polskości. Wspaniałe wykonanie, bardzo dziękuję ❤️
wow amazing
perfection exists...
Un besote también maestro Horowitz !! ❤
Oh my God... Genius!

Heaven.

miss you(T-T)
My god
Superb performance as everything that comes from Horowitz. The only issue is with video. It's slighty out of pitch standard A 440Hz.
I actually think I prefer it slightly tuned up as opposed to the standard tuning
Different approach from mine and most interpretations but very interesting.
Best
Slight, fluent and scherzoso
Can't help but think this sounds very jazzy. Maybe it's the tone of the piano or the fact that the video is pitched up a little bit.
i agree. This is where jazz harmony and phrasing comes from in part. Probably why I like this one so much. A lot of Chopin seems corny in comparison.
Late Chopin certainly was foreshadowing jazz harmony and voicing
@@km6206I certainly wouldn’t say corny by any means
@@quanlethienminh6002this is early Chopin dopey

Everyone that says this is too fast or that they prefer a different version is lying to themselves.
Not really it is quite quick
If he still didn’t die, maybe he would be more famous than Kissin and Yuja Wang.
He is!
He is dead and still is lol

He's always showing of with his fingers, making other pianists jealous.

ASTOUNDING
my teacher always told me that playing with rolled pinky is makes me a bad pianist
why his piano is tune a semitone higher?
It is a problem of the video. It is in higher pitch and faster than the original recording. In other versions of this take in youtube the sound and the tempo are normal
In fact, horowitz had his piano specially tuned so it would be about a semitone flat
Antes del 19
Mwahh Al a Dinah Shore. If anyone even remembers.
more like B minor here :)))
Pressler plays it more soulful
shut up if u say that
So many empty chairs. Seems like a waste
Guys, relax, it's just a ditty in a minor.
Too rushed. What's the hurry?
No. It's perfect
Because he can.
amen
I hate how much he's rushing it. Wonderful musicality, but I prefer Lu's rendition
I prefer the version of Khatia Buniatishvili
hahahahahhaha
Nice joke!!!
No way
awesome jewish skill
Simon David he was Jewish?!
boring
Oh my God .. Genius!
isn’t that the same comment as the person above -_-
