      Hello, Samantha-
      May this find you well and keep up the search, as I recently found some 100% linen clothing items, at my local T.J. Maxx. Summer is a great time to purchase linen in-store and especially check the beach, swimwear section. Even if it is one clothing item, it is a great start! Good luck!

      Hemp is likely just as high a frequency as linen. Their fibers are almost identical. Bamboo/rayon has a frequency of 15 as mentioned in the research and video.

      As long as they are not washed with wool. But a good rule of thumb is wash all your linens separately as not to shrink them - hanging them to dry in the sun will super charge them! :)

    I am also converting my clothes to natural fibers, but frustrated as my linen pieces keep coming out dry and crispy, instead of soft and supple. I've bought most of them used and several of them were soft to the touch before being laundered. After washing them however, each and every piece is total yuck feeling. We do have hard water, but I am using a mild detergent, cold water, vinegar rinse and one time I even tried baking soda in the wash basin. Any tips???

    • @TaniaHubmayer
      @TaniaHubmayer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Don't use fabric softener of any kind, just mild soap/detergent.

    • @TaniaHubmayer
      @TaniaHubmayer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Fabric softener makes linen hard and scratchy according to everything I've read about laundering linen.

    • @AxlAX

      Change to a premium detergent like Tide and Downy softener. Wash in cool water and dry in medium heat. My sheets are soft and smell great.

      I heard recently that if you pour a 2L bottle of ORIGINAL, name brand, Coca-Cola in with your linen and run the soak cycle (or in a bucket, 2L Coke and 2L water) it'll help a ton. And no, it doesn't stain.
