I’ve watched ever single snap of Zach Wilson in both college and the NFL. I don’t know what has happened to him. At BYU he was deadly accurate, and almost never misfired. He just didn’t miss guys. Now with the Jets he routinely overthrows or under throws even the simple passes out in the flats. Somewhere along the way he’s lost his mojo. It’s like when Markell Fultz suddenly forgot how to shoot once he got to the NBA. It’s inexplicable. I don’t get it.

On the one throw he tried to put mustard on he had a good throwing motion it looked like. He may have gotten stronger and so of he isn't throwing it hard he short arms it. It should be fixable and would correct his accuracy but his decision making is another issue. He really doesn't look like a #2 pick in this video either. If he fixes his mechanics he might be able to be a backup qb.

I agree. He does sit take in the pocket and throws, but he throws dots unlike big school qbs. He also can run and has good pocket mobility. Mac Jones won't be good in the NFL because he sits back, has no pressure in his face, and throws to wide open WRs just like Mitch Trubisky did in college.
My only question is if he can play well under pressure. He always has plenty of time to throw because either his O-line is top tier or the opponents have a terrible pass rush. Maybe both.

Why is no one arguing that he’s better than Trevor Lawrence ? Legit arm, mobile, uses crazy arm angles with accuracy, anticipates WR getting open before they are. This guy’s for real. Zach Wilson will be the best QB in this draft.
I agree he’s amazing, and can get the ball to receivers through some tight windows. But! Trevor Lawrence can make those tricky tight window throws too. We won’t know until they both play in the NFL, but I think they’re both arguably the two of the best qb prospects for the upcoming draft.

So reading up the hype of this kid, didn't watch a lot of byu games, but watching more and more the biggest thing that sticks out is his progressions. He reads the field way better then majority of college QBs. When comparing arm strength he's not the strongest I've ever seen but he's strong. Accuracy through the roof. Foot work is better then average. He feels pressure and the system he was in allowed him to move outside and his throwing outside the pocket is amazing which goes back to vision and progressions. He's definitely a nfl qb. Let's hope the team that drafts him works on an oline because given time this kid could be great. Best vision and progression out of all the QBs coming out this year into the draft. Better then Lawrence? I think they both got upsides but Wilson will end up being a better pocket passer and his release a little faster then Lawrence. Vision definitely better. I've seen Lawrence gun it and his throws seem stronger but throwing hard isn't always going to translate into success. Let's hope for some new young QBs for more great football in the future.

He will come into the NFL with the advantage of not being used to throwing to wide open receivers. Guys like Justin Fields (not his fault) have the luxury of throwing to receivers that are open by 20 yards. Zach Wilson has the QB guts, decision making and throwing release of an NFL QB. Solid draft prospect.
That's one thing I noticed as well. Fields looks awesome running the offense against mediocre defenses but he is going to have to adjust to the NFL. He also needs to get smarter about running the football. Somethings he thinks he is still in high school and can run over guys.

While I agree, I think taking a WR at 6 overall would be the best option. Hurts deserves a year to see what he can do and if he had a top WR to go with Reagor, Ward, Fulgham, Goedart, Sanders, and Scott (and possibly JJ if the new coach can revive him) plus spend possibly the two second round picks on lineman I think the birds may surprise some people. Their best players last year were their young guys and now that they're in the process of dumping many vets to get under the cap they may actually be better. Only hole after all this would possibly be the CB and could sign a FA if they had to. Can see them winning the division with just a few of these moves.

@Soldier I can’t see a scenario when that happens unless you give a lot to trade up, 1)Jets draft Zach Wilson or Justin Fields, 2)Jets stick with Darnold and build the O-Line and draft Sewell, causing the Bengals to trade there pick to most likley the Patriots or 49ers, who will take Fields or Wilson then the Panthers will get who they don’t take
The Panthers shouldn't have given Teddy Bridgwater that big contract last year.

exactly i wish they had let him sit for 2-3yr bro was definitely a project which all good scouts said pre draft i watched actual film b4 the draft but now even his highlights u constantly see him gambling and throw the ball into the smallest windows possible and into tight double and triple coverage constantly. he needs to sit behind a successful veteran.

this kid is legit, as an Eagles fan I'm rooting for Hurts as the starting QB but if the opportunity to draft this guy presents itself I would not be mad one bit

While I agree, I think taking a WR at 6 overall would be the best option. Hurts deserves a year to see what he can do and if he had a top WR to go with Reagor, Ward, Fulgham, Goedart, Sanders, and Scott (and possibly JJ if the new coach can revive him) plus spend possibly the two second round picks on lineman I think the birds may surprise some people. Their best players last year were their young guys and now that they're in the process of dumping many vets to get under the cap they may actually be better. Only hole after all this would possibly be the CB and could sign a FA if they had to. Can see them winning the division with just a few of these moves.

As an eagles fan, im fucking tired of QB's. Howie has a hard on for QB's and not getting them the help they need to succeed. This guy is good sure, but throw him behind that atrocious O line, and he will fail. Like any other QB thats been there. People need to understand that for a QB to succeed he needs protection and weapons. Howie has flat out ignored both of those. Its repetitive and I'm getting sick of his shitty decisions.

I really really hope the Jets consider taking this kid at # 2. I love darnold but his time in NY is done. Draft this kid and improve the team with the rest of the picks instead of that ridiculous idea of giving everything to Texas for a good qb that would leave the team in the same or even worst situation as last year.
