This needs to be said: I watched the first 2 Minutes and already was Impressed by how the final product came out. Ive been part of this Community for about 1 Year now and I can confirm that its the Nicest community ive ever been part of. This Episode was scraped multiple times. The best part is tho that they give everyone a chance to be part of the series and thats what it makes special. It might be not really a big step for us but for the Producers its life changing and i'm happy that they have finnaly done it and the community its proud of them❤️
This artstyle makes me nostalgic of the 2010s animations in the best way possible! Reminds me so much of the animations Dimstar’s past. Keep up the great work!
I tend to love shows from the 2010's and 2000's, both indie and regular TV. SS has lots of inspiration from that era, particularly warrior cats animations, Cow of the Wild, and LOST
It's amazing how you put the crying blood into this episode, crying blood happens when someone is literally scared to death (example, in ww2 many kids were seen with this phenomenon in bunkers during the bombings) it truly makes it more in depth!

I don't want a big name hanging the funding over my head saying that I can't do this or can't do that with the plot. The story is gonna play out and END when and how I want it to. I'd rather self or crowd fund it than go to someone else for funding who could then dictate how the show goes

Can't find my first comment, so new one it is: an honest review of what I have watched (there may be a more detailed one in the discord server later) From well-done atmosphere to unique art style (that evolves from CotW to Lilo & Stitch over the course of the episode LOL) this episode really stands out from other indie series! The tension and pacing is well-done and the backgrounds (displaying some other fauna), along with sfx, help establish this series' crazy world. The expressive style of the wolves allows for some fun facial expressions while still retaining the episode's serious/creepy atmosphere. I honestly think a lot of animators think that expressive = childish or not serious, but seriously, to any animators reading this, ALLOW THEM TO EXPRESS! Exaggerate it! It'll help a lot. I think you did a good job hooking the audience (and me!) something that is honestly rare (I usually watch indie stuff out of curiosity not actual interest). I wanna know what the "hostiles" are, why Stardust bleeds every time the weird thing appears, what said weird thing is, what the politician (giant frog--discord ref for non-discord members), and what Stardust's warning meant (the "try not to be scared"). Also I love the opening line... "did... you have a dream too?" Of course... I have some criticisms, as nothing is truly perfect. - (not much of a critique) While dialogue is hard to criticize because it all depends on context and delivery (in this case, slightly clunky = character is a child), Stardust does sound a little odd and I think it's because of the audio editing of your voice; I'm sure it won't be an issue in later episodes with her actual VA. - The clips don't flow together very well, which makes the animation feel choppy (even though it's not an animation issue). For example: Stardust stopping in front of the camera before the changes (2:38) and the editing when she almost falls off a cliff (2:48 - 2:58) the clips don't flow together nicely and makes the moment confusing. I suggest using transitions and avoiding super quick cuts because it's blink and you'll miss it (and while you'll register what's there because you made it and know it, other viewers will struggle and get confused) - The running away seemed unnecessary but it doesn't wreck the pacing at all. The episode still feels shorter than ten minutes XD Other than that it's phenomenal for a first episode and I hope episode 2's production won't be so rough. P.S.: to any comment crazies aboutta tell me off for giving criticism, I'm a friend of the creator and she's explicitly stated that she wants constructive criticism. Edit: I found my old comment... Voice of Giovanni (the bug) here! I gotta say, this episode was full of so many things. For one the backgrounds were exceptional, it made it fit very much with the music and the situation. The voice acting was amazing as well! I also really enjoyed how well animated the wolves are, I am SUPER excited to see what Shattered Stars has in store for us in the future! 👀

Probably because the My pride eyes were so detailed and these are also detailed. (presumably for plot reasons) The eyes in both also were vibrant and had no shading.

Hehehehe... I'm an INSIDER, A SPY--no I'm just in the Shattered Stars Discord and happen to be friends with her. The Lilo & Stitch thing isn't a joke, it actually happened.)

This is such a cool pilot! The first 4 minutes were some of the most unsettling and the art was amazing! Insanely good and emotional voice acting! This was so fun to watch!
You do know that to have a Netflix series would be a painful prospect of probably close to a year to find a studio and above that you would need a valid contract with Netflix that most likely will sign away your rights to animate for another company’s show or there competition as well as the fact that Netflix rarely accepts ideas from indie artists and if we are to be realistic with are selves it’s a already started series which wouldn’t go well when having talk with studies that have the team and resources needed for something like this and for another fact a studio or established team of people would want something that is a little close to home and something they can assume won’t be a instant flop example of this would be *my digital circus* which has only made the cut for a Netflix series because one can really take the fact that the pilot has over 100 million which anyone reasonable would look at that and say that it has the audience it has people who want it so over all it would be a bad choice on the studios side a unlikely choice on the developers who made this first episode and In conclusion It won’t happen buddy 🔈🔈🙏🙏💀💀💀💀🔈🔈🔈 And don’t say a word about this grammar or the length of this cause everyone who comments on grammar or length of a paragraph is a person who needs help from therapy
