French Toast is bougie 🍳 ❤ A splash of vanilla extract in the batter and a little cinnamon too. PERFECTION ✨✨✨ I agree 💯 Family Dollar is a NO GO for me personally.
i buy a big ham after the holidays, cook it up, seperate it into freezer baggies and use it for breakfasts. I do same with peppers and onions. cut them in cubes and they defrost so easy. I think dollar general and family dollar is a rip off. Those egg prices are insane.
You are making pleasant memories with your kids. These will mean a lot to both you & them. I love how you compliment your kids and say positive things about them. "She is nice"; "He is handsome"; "She is talented"; "She is so cute", etc. You are building up their confidence and their positivity.
Believe it or not this is sort of like food insecurity. Kids shouldn't have to be hungry waiting for breakfast to be cooked. You should prep the night before and make the breakfast as soon as they wake up. Also note, doctors recommend, to get the neurological and biological benefits of breakfast, it's best to eat no longer than 1 hour after waking up. This contributes to a fast metabolism, energy, stable blood sugar and much more health benefits. Also when meal times is delayed for kids, it actually contributes to obesity and food cravings. This is how I was when I was a kid. After several hours of being hungry my mother would only then try to make food at the last minute, which isn't a bad thing of her but probably because of lack of knowledge of metabolic health. If lunch would have been ready early, I wouldn't have always been craving food to which converts to craving junk food and last minute meals as an adult. It's similar to kids always moving to new houses as kids instead of growing up in the same home. It's not good for their growing brains. Stability is what is optimal. That's why food scheduling is important and also being organized in general.
Mama we ALL learn as we go in life. I'm peculiar about my checking my eggs too !! Fruit has alot of sugar. Also when you're back at Walmart. Grab you a loaf of Great Value Texas Toast which is a thick slice bread and it work's great for French toast. ❤

This is what I like to see in a mother with so many children and it’s inspiring for mothers like me who are thinking about having a big family and want to know how to navigate through it all. I use pure vanilla extract from 20 years ago. It's fine. As far as the broken eggs, I would call the store and tell them what happened. Take a pic. Eggs are expensive! I pay for 12 eggs, I better get 12 unbroken eggs!
FYI...Are brown eggs better for you than white eggs? The color of the shell does not affect the nutrient content. There is no nutritional difference between a white and a brown egg. If you wanna stretch your budget a little farther, you can take that dozen eggs and crack a few don’t put the vanilla in it because you can still season your French toast with the cinnamon and the powdered sugar and the syrup after it’s cooked, and then you have much more eggs that you can just scramble!I really enjoy watching your channel
Always use white bread or Texas toast for French toast as the thickness is great. I'm a wheat bread person usually, for sammies and such but a thick strong bread is best for French toast.
Sometimes you can't tell if they are broken. If the break is on the underside, you won't see it. Someone told me years ago to roll each one in the carton and if they aren't stuck they aren't broken on the bottom. Also, if a store has a price posted, they are legally obligated to honor the posted price. Love your videos!

thats the thing with me, my mom always taught me to open a egg container and make sure theres no broken eggs, and to look at the expiration date as well, and when it comes to like shopping for meat (hate that meat is so pricy) but if i see a meat that is lesser in price, im always going to pick that up too, i love stocking up on potatoes and pasta, as well as white bread. and in a weird way, i stock up on kraft spaghetti dinner too and canned tomatoes (especially with jalapenos in them) to make chili.i also love stocking up on salsa and flour tortillas as well. and heck yes, funnel cakes are soo good, i used to get them at the fair, but im hoping i can make them again (it's just been a long time)

Just a little tip from me to you: if an egg is just a little bit damaged, just grab a small bowl and crack it into it. If it has no smell, it is good to eat :) Oh and if the cracked egg gets into an other egg I just simply wash it. It hurts nothing that little eggy goo on the outside ☺
In the future save your old bread (not molded bread) Older bread make better French Toast! PS: I would the have called the store and return those eggs the next time I went out!
Nice breakfast! If you want to try scrambled eggs Scottish style (super fluffy) just heat the pan to medium/medium low, put 4 eggs and about a table spoon of milk or cream, beat till frothy with an egg beater. Gently pour into the heated pan with melted butter. With a spatula gently move the eggs about until they're almost dry then plate up. They're creamy and fluffy and just super yummy. Your French toast would have been really good with the fresh berries and a dusting of powdered sugar if you hadn't had syrup. You had lots of good options available so I'm sure the kids would have enjoyed their breakfast no matter what. French toast is flexible and always feels luxurious even on a budget.
In my country french toast is a thing here grew up whit it anyways what i am trying to say is sis no the bread dont need to be thick if youre gonna make it faster you just get normal sliced french toast like youre showing in youre video otherwise you have to soak it when its a big piece of bread or it feels slimey/dry most important thing on making a good piece of french toast is not to mutch flower not to mutch milk and real butter to get that crisp and i know butter aint cheap if you just have oil then you just put the pan on high heat get it hot and put in the bread 45 secounds on each side then turn it down to not burn the toast and dont have them in the pan for to long anyways hope i was of help and i hope youre having a good day God bless you and youre kids.

Just a little tip from me to you: if an egg is just a little bit damaged, just grab a small bowl and crack it into it. If it has no smell, it is good to eat :) Oh and if the cracked egg gets into an other egg I just simply wash it. It hurts nothing that little eggy goo on the outside ☺

Nice breakfast! If you want to try scrambled eggs Scottish style (super fluffy) just heat the pan to medium/medium low, put 4 eggs and about a table spoon of milk or cream, beat till frothy with an egg beater. Gently pour into the heated pan with melted butter. With a spatula gently move the eggs about until they're almost dry then plate up. They're creamy and fluffy and just super yummy. Your French toast would have been really good with the fresh berries and a dusting of powdered sugar if you hadn't had syrup. You had lots of good options available so I'm sure the kids would have enjoyed their breakfast no matter what. French toast is flexible and always feels luxurious even on a budget.

In my country french toast is a thing here grew up whit it anyways what i am trying to say is sis no the bread dont need to be thick if youre gonna make it faster you just get normal sliced french toast like youre showing in youre video otherwise you have to soak it when its a big piece of bread or it feels slimey/dry most important thing on making a good piece of french toast is not to mutch flower not to mutch milk and real butter to get that crisp and i know butter aint cheap if you just have oil then you just put the pan on high heat get it hot and put in the bread 45 secounds on each side then turn it down to not burn the toast and dont have them in the pan for to long anyways hope i was of help and i hope youre having a good day God bless you and youre kids.
