It has been an unusual winter with a mixed bag of weather. I love cooking in the cabin during the winter months, and my favourite are comfort foods.

This may be my very last video I get to watch you in. It's been such a blessing to make your acquaintance.
Through your laughter, hard work, your peaceful moments and your tears, I like so many others out there found a friend we couldn't help but love.
Thank you for so many wonderful moments and memories. Spending time with you here was a great experience, yet there was a little bit of heartbreak mixed in; never getting to meet and see and know you in person. The friendship that never advanced between shared comments on posted videos.
Read (if you haven't already) 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and believe those words.
Just maybe we can all take these shared adventures to a whole new level.

Dear Ed…Your words carry a solemn tone and your meaning crisp. Although we know god has plans for all. It’s with great honor to walk the paths he has laid for our travels. Discovering your channel was a blessing. Getting to know you and your world is a privilege. Having you think of me as a friend is an honor like no other.
Diabetes has not been kind to me, and my eyes are paying dearly. So the days of my ability to watch you through your videos are numbered, and that is where much of my sadness lies. Your beautiful soul doesn't require eyes, but how you interact with your world does.
Perhaps things may be able to change, and the world will not grow dim for me, but if it does, the image of your heart will not allow all to fall into permanent darkness for me.
I am not giving up hope, as I know better times are ahead. But you yourself also know that you must weather the storm to see the sun shine once again.

I have a cancer for which all the specialists I have seen in different countries have not found a cure. They told me 6 months to live and after a year I am still present, hospitalized but still there.

Lisette, the all time best boots ever for icey conditions are called IceBugs. They are insulated, water proof and have super sharp plugs on the souls. I highly recommend them for any day when ice becomes a hazard. I have not been out of mine for the past two months, never slipped once. Your grilled sandwich looked so yummy, but then everything you cook does. Now with all that coffee you will have super endless energy to write your book for us.

Place a damp cloth, or napkin or a piece of plastic mesh underneath your cutting board and it will not slip when you are cutting anything on it. Also, that massive French Knife you are using could be smaller, so it fits your hand much better. Just a few tips from a Chef. Love your channel.

You must have a separate building for all your clothes! I've had to store mine away because I'm using valuable room for storing food. We never have enough room! And, I can never find what's in my mind to wear. Lol

Hi Frank! I will start the indoor seedling sometime in April unless they predict an early spring 😉 We are back in the deep freeze and I have been very busy with an interesting project. Hi Lisette! Your sandwich looked amazing! You crack me up when you eat something you've cooked, I do the same as I also enjoy my own cooking. Last weekend I made Irish Potato Farls with caramelized onions and cheese on top. This weekend I'll be making homemade Pierogi's with homemade sauerkraut that I canned last Fall. Enjoyed the video!

The chicken sandwich looked really good but was missing something.... some Nueske's bacon would have been a good addition. Home cooking always has been best and always will be best!
