    Thanks Phil & Linda! I'm so curious to learn more about the future of the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook. I know it's small in the scheme of the entire Viva for Sales platform. But I've noticed old updates in the D365 for Sales release notes were updated saying the new Outlook features had been moved to Viva. Will the D365 App for Outlook eventually roll into Viva? Will it stay its own separate model-driven app for Dynamics?

      Dynamics 365 App for Outlook covers broader roles than sales and so it remains a solid option for certain needs.
      Where the investments align more to the sales persona, we will look to land those into Viva Sales as that productivity app brings a richer experience to sellers over and above tracking. Both apps can co-exist, but we believe a seller should look to land in Viva Sales as a first option.

    Can you post a features matrix that compares the Dynamics 365 for Outlook app and Viva Sales? Which one should we use in new projects?

      I would assume the time and resources are now focus on Viva Sales, there is that integration with Teams that D365 for outlook doesn't have, and now plenty AI capabilities available and to come in Viva Sales. My personal opinion is D365 for outlook will be simply replace by Viva Sales but may stay available for some specific scenarios where Viva can't be deployed.

      D365 App for Outlook is the solution that spans across all Dynamics 365 roles within the business for tracking e-mails. If you are planning a project for non-sales roles and the scope was just around e-mail tracking, then Dynamics App for Outlook would be the typical solution of choice.
      If the project is to deploy to sellers and similar related roles then we would recommend an evaluation of Viva Sales as aside from tracking it provides a lot more capabilities to help a seller as they conduct calls, write communications, and collaborate. We have a rapid release cycle with Viva Sales adding new capabilities to enrich these experiences including the tracking functionality so I would still recommend going to Viva Sales in the first instance for this role type. Note that App for Outlook can run alongside if needed.
