    Very well done..
Question- Using my Cap1 cc for the car rental & to decline the collision, i called to recieve a letter stating my coverage, they directed me to the benefits section where i printed out a whole page on the issue and the coverage stated clearly for my Cap1 cc., it also states for this benefit, that my name be on my eligible card..
This should be acceptable for my rental in CR or will they decline it, in your opinion ? Thanx !!!

Thanks for you feedback. Really appreciated.
I am very honest with you. There are no fixed rules. It may work for some car rentals, it may not for others. This is what I usually do:
I rent a car with the provider that offers a good deal, and it has a good ranking, typically above 8 on the website I was mentioning or similar on other websites.
I contact them directly after that through the message option to give them the paper I have in hand, and I ask if that's enough or what else they need
If I can't get an answer I cancel the booking, and I go with another provider. Just make sure that you can cancel free of charge (typically allowed up to 48h before pick-up).
Honestly, if the rental company starts messing around , we'll, it’s a good indication that they will mess around once you are there, too.
Make sure to keep the conversation in writing. You can always call there, they all talk English, but ask for a written confirmation 👍
I hope I was able to help
      Have a great trip
      Cheers

Did u have to buy Liability Insurance once you were at the pick up location? I did not see that quote on the website you recommended

Liability Insurance often refers to the coverage for any damage or injury caused to other vehicles, property, or individuals. This is of course when in an accident the driver of the rental car is at fault.. This is mandatory. Public LI is another one .then you have Supplementary LI. I have described all in detail here mel365.com/costa-rica-rental-car-insurance/ with reference to the suggested website.
      Enjoy Costa Rica!!

      Any hidden fees?

Hi there, the main issue is with the insurance, doesn't matter the website you book. I have explained the overcharges (scams?) and how to avoid them here
      mel365.com/costa-rica-rental-car-insurance/
There are other hidden fees, like airport surcharge etc but they are not standard, in a way that there is no regulation. I usually book my car and contact them after a few days to see if I have everything I need. On my last trip, for example, they did not include in the website price around $3/day in fees for something I can't remember (it's in the article). But still the final price was good for me. That's what everyone does, local and international providers. However, insurance can cost up to $30-40/day, so make sure you have all you need before getting to the counter, so you can compare apples with apples. I hope I was able to help

Sir one of the car it shows is going for 24 dollars a day I’m just kinda scare it’s a scam due to the fact that most rent cars go for 50-60 a day

    • @StefanoFerro
      @StefanoFerro  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Not necessarily. You need to make sure that the quote includes that same things (insurance and adds on) as the $50/60 quote.
The level of insurance usually makes a difference. Comparing a quote with CDW and one without is like comparing apples with pears.
I have written a few posts on available insurance, and what you need
Check out the video description for that
Have a great trip in CR
