    Sarah, I love seeing all of the different styles of bowling. The score sheet doesn’t care if you bowl traditional, 2 handed, between your legs or whatever. If a bowler can strike and do it consistently well, that’s the whole idea. Love the channel.

    I've been saying "no two bowlers roll the ball the same" for years. Yes, there are some odd styles out there. Tim Cagle II is only one of them. I cringe every time that I see him throw the ball, but, it works well for him. As a coach, I would be lost on how to help him. I applaud him for finding a style that works for him and not listening to others about going to a more traditional style.

    In the MMA world, styles make fights. It can be an ugly boring fight or it can flashy, technical exciting match. In regard to bowling, it’s a very individualized in the way one conducts their approach. Some are visually appealing while others are not. Ultimately they all have the same goal of knocking down 10 pins in one or two shots. Bowling needs to bring down the toxicity and embrace being more diplomatic and supportive in nature.

    Props, well said.
    For those of you who don't think he should be there, you should start with a USBC search before running your mouth.
    This sport isn't about style, fitting the norm, or keyboard warrior opinions. Tim is there - and has a right to be there - based upon his past performance as a bowler. Regardless of whether you like his style of not, he's there not just because of his years of 200+ averages, but has earned that right through his PBA regional wins.

    Sarah speaking as a 🇨🇦 5-pin bowler I have seen so many different styles in 5pin and 10 pin bowling (styles that work I might add), I don't even look at how someone throws anymore. As long as the pins are falling it doesn't matter.

As for Tim Cagle, there videos of unique and unorthodox styles and releases through the years and Tim is really up there on the list. Bowling has to be the only sport that has so many variations that work. It would be fascinating to hear how someone discovers that he can do that.

For instance I saw Ryan Barnes bowl on TV in a professional tournament this year (I think), so you aren't excluded for not being 'on the tour'. Is it people who win/place this tournament don't need to go through pre-qualifying for the big tournaments?

    I stopped at Deer Park last evening for a short while to watch the final block. Brad looked like he needed a hug, or a drink, or both. Jumping the gun a bit, of the 12 bowlers who ended up earning exempt status, 7 are two-handers and 5 are one-handers. Also, 8 were right-handed and 4 were left-handed. Given that only around 10% of the world is left-handed, do these results suggest that lefties in today's game have an advantage because of less traffic on their side of the lane? Or was this a random result? 33% versus 10% is a pretty wide variance to be random.

    I have no issues with how a person bowls I have issues watching someone loft it past the arrows, and the game has turned into more of matching up with correct equipment and surface or using urethane that breaks down a pattern instead of having the skill to manipulate hand positions to play the lanes. I am not saying you don’t need different balls for patterns before people get butt hurt I am meaning you shouldn’t be able to go through 13 pieces of equipment to find the perfect match up. Events should only allow 6 balls and you cannot alter surface once you begin practice, and lofting past the arrows should not be allowed

  • @zedsodead
    @zedsodead 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    They obviously don't care what people think, so why this reaction from you? The PBA has a problem. Nobody is watching. Almost nobody can make a living. Maybe listening to the fans is what the PBA needs. Here's one for you , if you don't want to hear what fans are saying, don't read the comments or turn them off, and you can arbitrarily silence the fans. Belmo delt with it the right way. Maybe start a league where the fans vote who gets to be on tour and forget qualifying. I'd love to watch 100 of the PWBA matches before 1 PBA match, but for whatever reason, they WON'T put women on tv. That trios tournament was fascinating and phenomenal, but no one got to see it. Why? Two handers took over and ruined true bowling. Be happy with that. They won we lost. Rub it in, why don't ya? I'll watch old videos on youtube and stop watching your channels. Happy now?

    I was rooting for Brad Miller and Ryan Barnes....hes the only two hander ill root for...Ill always think its an advantage that shouldnt be allowed...like the anchored putter in golf....but whatever...it is, so lets go BARNESY!!
    As for people making fun of bowling styles...pffft. Dont care. We are all made fun of for stuff in life. You either ignore it, let it fuel you, or whine. White knighting on Facebook is far more like "crying" IMHO. White knighting is not about being nice, its clout chasing. No adult man needs someone to protect them from some randos internet words. Cagle throws funny, but the dude is good, so he should own it...maybe he does...i dont know him...but he SURE as heck doesnt need someone to "protect" him. Why is everyone so sensitive? Its not healthy. It will stop you from achieving your potential. Horse blinders...ignore the haters...they will always exist...you cant police them away.
    I heard this adage once... "Stick and stones may break my bones but WORDS WILL NEVER HURT ME"
    Its time to start teaching that again.
    And now im rooting for Cagle, too...every time, every where i can. VIVA LA CAGLE!
