Aretha is usually very guarded during interviews, but she seemed to really enjoy Rosie, and their chemistry is amazing. Definitely one of the best interviews I have seen from Aretha.

This was a great interview because Rosie treated Aretha like someone she just wanted to have a conversation with. That's why Aretha was so comfortable. Normally when Aretha would go on shows to be interviewed the interviewer would right from the start begin asking heavy and deep questions like what soul meant to her or stuff about her family. Or if they didn't do that they would ask really stupid and inane questions. This was a nice change.

    I enjoyed this interview.
Aretha seems very relaxed and there is a general mutual warmth between them.
One thing I immediately cringed at, however, was when Rosie asked if Aretha’s mother had taught her how to cook. I knew Aretha’s mother had died before Aretha was 10. Aretha was gracious and moved on without skipping a beat.
Then Rosie mentioned her own mother dying when she was young.
    Did anyone else notice this?

Yup...may be one of the warmest and relaxed I've seen Aretha act towards ANY other interviewer, host etc..! lol She's NOT at all an easy interview. Usually verry guarded, aloof, distant, even arrogant at times. Not at all here. She must've TRULY liked/loved Rosie in a primal & connected way. Something about Rosie made Aretha feel max. ease 0:45 seconds I think sums it ALL up.
