I have my mom's from 1949. I use it in a treadle cabinet. (It fits in a vintage Singer by switching out the Hinge pins...Necchi's are smaller in diameter...I do not screw them down just keep the machine in upright position and it will stay put). Yours is beautiful...super nice color. Mine is black. Oh on my tension the indicator is a small metal arrow..right behind the uppen tensioner close to the machine head. Powering it with treadle is a great experience...so smooth and more controlable.
I also just inherited this machine it came with lots of disks for something. It was used in a commercial business makeing mens shirts in Louisville, ky
Thank you for showing how wind bobbin and thread machine. I just got an Esperia and was having trouble getting it going. It looks exactly like your machine.
Hola tengo la misma máquina el problema es q le coloque un aceite que no era,y ahora quedó pegado el engranaje de zigzag no anda, solo me anda recta,y no veo como poder desarmar tampoco para ver, podrías ayudarme?
I watched several YT videos combined with a little mechanical knowledge was able to get several machines in great working order. The key for me is picking out a unit that is rust free inside and out. Hope this helps. ps. When searching keep an eye out for all of its accessories.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I just got this same machine and am going to get it overhauled I do hope its worth it! Is there any problems I should watch out for?
Thanks for comment, these machines are very robust in that their all steel, that being said unless you have a timing issue generally speaking you just need to keep it oiled. I have two of the Necchi BU Miras, and one BU "VN" models and they run great after working in some oil. The only issue you should watch out for is the electrical wiring that goes though the bed into the motor they tend to rot out and can short. Enjoy your machine!
I am not sure if any other manufactures bobbins can fit. Necchi uses the same size on the following machines BU, BF, 510, 512, 513, Nova and 515. Hope this helps.
paisa007 most jams are due to tension issues, recommend adjusting your top tension. Bottom tensions are on the bobbin but generally not adjusted-often. How is your stitch overall? Tight on top or bottom or always jammed?
I'm guessing in the condition of the one I had $60 - $80. What do you think? The buyer of mine was so impressed that they gave me the whole listed price even though we agreed upon 2/3 of what I was asking.
Muy interesante el video tengo una del mismo modelo le agradecería su respuesta donde puedo conseguir el folleto de manejo de la maquina, saludos desde Perú
