Looks like they saw brawl brothers X tráiler it would also play very similar as this one, but this game looks so good en very fun to pull out combos will need to get me that consoló unfortunately I haven't seen a switch versión

The game looks legit fun and has some great environmental stuff going on. I am curious how that will play out in 2player mode.
I am not sold on some of the animations though. The spin kick was really really weak (even if they made it look like the original) as is the basic run cycle. And it commits the cardinal sin, at least for me, of having regular jobber enemies pop out during a boss fight. If you can't make your boss fight interesting from just the boss itself, then you need to fix that rather than throw more clone enemies at the player.
That's how it was in the originals. And it's a beatem up.. these games are not complicated lol smh

Alright. This looking better. They tone down the exaggerated fire and spark effects (they look more subtle now) and the physics and hit detection look more solid.
I wonder if Billy and Jimmy will be in Street Fighter 6 🤔
If you ask for it & demand it, you never know. We already got Terry & Mai as guests so it’s not out of the realm of possibility I would imagine. They would fit perfectly. You could easily write them into the storyline too.

I wasn't sure of this when I first heard of it, but now it's shaping up really good looking very forward to more news on this in the future, looking good so far! Very cool gaming mechanics
should avoid joystick input and go strictly with the pad. Youre either walking or youre not....no need for slow creeping in a beat em up.

One attack button? So lame, needs punch and kick buttons. This way you can add various combos and additional special attacks. Double Dragon started with punch, kick and jump. These are a must.
Not bad. It looks much better. The music is pretty good. The movements much mote fluid. The endmies need better designs and better attacks. Plus them swarming you is not cool.

I like it too, probably would be better if it triggered a stronger move and the sign broke so you could only use it once though

Cool… Hoping for lots of unlockables(Attacks/Characters/Costumes) strong A.I. for difficulty, and possibly some sort of fun defensive/parry mechanics like or Super Double Dragon(snes) or better. This game can have a long life… but that’s like any other Double Dragpn right?
Would love it if Microsoft would allow the battletoads to be playable as DLC. Of course that would have to be an exclusive to the Xbox Series X/S version. Would be a nice callback to their crossover too. Especially since that game recently landed on the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Not trying to troll or anything, but just being 100% honest, this game looks clunky and the graphics are "meh" at best. When I saw streets of rage 4, I lost my mind, this, not so much and I think I'll wait until this is free, or just wait 2 years until it's on sale for $9.99 on the PSN
I agree, it looks pretty jank right now. better than it did before...still pretty jank. Not sure why Arc systems wouldn't just develop a new version of Double Dragon themselves using the guilty gear style and engine.

Yeah they do lean into this "bargain bin kof" style but gotta say, this one at least looks fun to play. Operation Galuga was fun for like an hour and none of the new mechanics stuck out for me, I kept thinking how much better Alien Wars was and how i'd rather be playing that. Can't believe they're still charging 30 bucks for it
You do realize “Operation Galuga” was a remake/reimagining of the original Contra right? Other than updated visuals, voice acting & a bit looser controls, what exactly were you expecting? It’s a fine remake & it does what it was intended to do, “update a classic”. This game here looks to be doing the same for the Double Dragon series. Not EVERY game needs to do more than what is needed. Besides, this series is notorious for going through many ports, remakes & various interpretations than Contra has. Then again Contra is no stranger to that in this department too. Sometimes a simple update can do wonders. I hope they keep improving in this game because I am interested.
@@spenserbeckerszs In a world post Hard Corps: Uprising and the plethora of gorgeous looking 2D games, and even 3D, done by small teams, Operation Galuga had no excuse. It looks like someone took some low tier assets from the Unity store, slapped it together and called it a day. The sad thing is that WayForward have actually created some better looking game than this stuff.

Yes, I know. Hence why my criticism. Again, we have a plethora of examples of gorgeous looking 2D Beat 'em Ups out there, and one of them is Ninja Turtles, both the new one and the Collection. Sad. And even if we hadn't, this seems to be once again just a shovelware type effort. And that sucks cuz Double Dragon deserves at the very least the Street of Rage 4, if not the TMNT: Shredder's Revenge.
Now, if you're cool with that then more power to ya. If you think this is the best they can do for these classic series, then you'll have a blast for sure. But don't come here trying to defend this abomination. Because you'll have to somehow justify, how one of the Pillars of Pixel Art and action games from the 90's is turning such shoddy looking remakes of their once well regarded and still loved IP classics.
Hell, M2 did a better job remaking Haunted Castle in the Dominus Collection and that's just sad.
