    Live in Texas so I can own any knife I want and carry them legally and I still love this thing. I have a ton of knives in my EDC rotation and this one is one of the knives I carry most due to it's small size, ease of deployment, ability to do many tasks, and especially it's ability to do the tasks I do most on a daily basis which is opening packages and such. This thing just rocks plain and simple. I have no complaint about the metal but I would like to see it offered in S30V or S35VN. The fact it has no lanyard hole is fine with me as I do not use lanyard holes on any of my knives so it is never a big deal to me.

    I work in a warehouse and use a knife everyday (I hate those boxcutters employers try to give you) to cut boxes. This is definitely added to my want list.

    Nice little knife. I'm fortunate to live about 15 miles from the KAI/Kershaw warehouse in Tualatin and I go to their annual warehouse sale every December - tons of product at 75% off! A nice pre-Christmas haul every year. Good review! I haven't seen that particular knife before but now I definitely want one.

    Just ordered one, as most viewers I own all kinds of knives if I need a bigger knife I have several options but on a daily basis this will work

    Thanks Aaron, got one for me and one for my brother. Also good chance to snag a couple continue mission tags. I'd always wanted an auto so I'm pretty excited. Hopefully Blade HQ gives you a little kickback.

  • @backoffu

    Picked up one from BladeHQ a few weeks ago. Also got the Dividend in M390.. Great knives. As long as the blade is under 2", it is legal in CA.

    Another option in this blade size is the protech half breed and that has a full size handle

      Pro-tech has been making CA legal autos for a while. All quite a bit more expensive than the Launch 4 though.

  • @Kingstonsmac

    I ended up deciding to get the launch over the protech sprint. Decent price gap. Hope I made the right choice.

    Gunna be honest whrn I first saw this come out wasn't very interested but after thinking about it and looking at it in this video definitely think I'll pick one up when I find a good deal on one!

      anotherrandomtexan25 agreed, I'll wait for the price to drop. Til ther I'll use the surprisingly fantastic Ruike.

    I just got a protech pt as my edc as Michigan just made autos legal and we have a 3 inch limit. Might want to check that out as I love it and there are no reviews of it on TH-cam

  • @serjstt8556
    @serjstt8556 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I doesnt really matter how small it is. In many countries you can get in trouble for carrying an auto (in UK where I live just a lockable blade is illegal no matter the length)

  • @WarGrrl3
    @WarGrrl3 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The blade steel is,awesome n wish more knives had it but $99 for that type of knife is just too much for me. I know there are a lot of peo that have $ to burn but i just won't. $50 would be a MUCH more reasonable price point. Oh I just saw that the Damascus is $99 but still I won't go $75 as much as I really do need a knife that size. It's really nice. Thank you for another great vid. Be Blessed. btw, i t's true we are knife addicts but im trying hard to rehab myself...just a bit.lol

      WarGrrl3 don’t think they sell a knife in cpm154 automatic or not for $50 the launch series are the cheapest knives with this steel they make especially an automatic

    THANK YOU for the thickness measurement! ive been trying to find it and couldnt.
    im interested in this knife. may pick one up if there is a sale this holiday season.
    is the tip fragile like the kershaw leek?
    wondering how the finish will hold up. my blue microtech ultratech handle looks beat to hell...
    have you tried a boker kalash? i know the boker is bigger but its also half the price albeit lesser quality materials and not us made.

    My button is a little stiff/sticky. You can tell when you press it when the blade of open as it makes clicking noises. Is this normal? Btw i did just buy it 2 days ago. Break in period?

    Another great review. Is there a lock to prevent opening in the pocket?

    • @sour7786
      @sour7786 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya the button

    • @brucemcconnell1467
      @brucemcconnell1467 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sour wasnt expecting a smart alec reply. Since the button protrudes from the scale what will prevent the button from accidently being pushed and the blade deployed while it's in the pocket like if it gets bumped?

    • @emchu3410
      @emchu3410 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's not completely flush with the scales, but you'd have to push it in a decent amount for it to activate. With the button angled towards your thigh in your pocket it won't open by itself.

    • @theoriginalemim
      @theoriginalemim 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically only a deliberate pressing of the button with your thumb will deploy the blade. I tried every way I could think of to make it fail and couldn't get it to.

    folding box cutters may not be sexy but I recently bought one and it's made me question the purpose of expensive knives. I got a stanley folding box cutter for 7 bucks and it's awesome. You can buy multiples and put them everywhere. The amount of utility they offer can make it hard to justify an expensive knife. granted I still have expensive knives lol

  • @jskrawz4611
    @jskrawz4611 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seems like a nice knife but I prefer the Spyderco Native 5 lightweight in S35VN... It's about $10 more but I prefer the very strong back lock and better steel... I wouldn't use an auto knife at work... I work in a public environment and I can't use my Manix2 because people freak out when I use it... The time we live in I guess...

      monkey nutz your answer is pure poetry.
      back in 2002 when i was at my first job it seemed like an ordinary day at baskin robbins. the phone rang. a kid calling to ask if we had the new flavor of the month "monkey dick madness" he laughed. i laughed. it made my day. 15 years later you complete me with your wisdom

      Not always true but for states where it is true this knife is great. It really is tiny and if you explain to someone that you wanted a fun lil box opener that you can resharpen because you don't like throwing away blades... I mean seriously if you stick to the straight and narrow you shouldn't be worrying about having your knife found.

      Barry Bueler Right!? I've been here 8 years and I've never missed Texas More! Even though Auto's aren't legal to carry, I could because I'm in a electric wheelchair which made it legal for Me to carry one because one arm controls the chair, so according to the state I was considered a "one armed person", lucky for me when a cop here saw my launch 7 he said take that home.😌
