What happens when you cross a Mussorgsky with a Shostakovich? You get a night in the luny bin, a sore ass and a promise of more to come. It's like watching a train wreck; you can't turn away. He's kind of a Paganini at the organ. Is this the Devil's child or H. P. Lovecraft back with a score to settle. Fascinating. And where's my smelling salts?
Vova Hrenov Well, you are correct! Thank you for pointing this out to us. (But it still sounds like Theme from Star Wars.). Brahms was first, so maybe Williams imitated it. Regardless of our bickering, the organist has done a fine job of the improvisation, and very gave us a very artistic interpretation. I do not understand the criticisms. If you cannot say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
The guy’s musicianship and technology is there for all to see but, pleasant to listen to NO F....g WAY. Gimmicky does not get anywhere near it!! Would love to hear him playing something sensible not this tripe. So UGLY!!
Maybe so but a signifant percentage of recent classical composition it either a protrait of the composer’s insanity or the collective madness of our species. We can look away but can we claim such artforms have no value?
Escaich is one of the few true masters of improvisation. Great structure and climax
That's for sure. I'm floored.
You're awesome! Bravo Prof. Escaich!!!! Greetings from Regensburg.
This guy comes up with stuff that would have only been heard aboard UFOs. He is out there! I love it!
Hot tip: If you want Escaich to do a concert appearance at your venue, make sure your organ has a 2 2/7' Septieme. ;)
Tank You, Maestro Escaich!
Это потрясающе! Музыка других миров!
A wonderful composition!
C'est une improvisation !
Just amazing
Sensationell...unbeschreiblich....
EXCELENTE ¡¡¡
fantastique !

fucking brutal.
2:53. That is STAR WARS! Am I right?
Beau .. même pour les analphabètes . . Merciii
Well, it sounds more like improvisation on Star Wars
2:51 to 3:00 imperial march ??
Außerirdische Improvisation!
0:47 the name of the piece please
Improvisation on Themes from Johann Sebastian Bach and Johannes Brahms.
It’s not a piece, he made it up on the spot
The theme is from BWV 1060
The theme from Brahms is that of the 2nd mvmt from the 4th symphony

Какие-то детские мелодии, к которым добавил аккорды Баха.
Impressive virtuosity but in parts just plain silly.
I was wondering if anybody else caught wind of "The Emperor's New Clothes"?
Starwar
Danke für den Hinweis
klingt aber wirklich wie star wars - auf brahms würde ich nicht kommen, wenn es nicht dastünde ;-)
Nulissime
Good improvisation in a bad acoustic.
I much prefer pipe organs in churches. Concert halls make them sound too sterile

Nul pauvre Bach
Nul. Pauvre JS Bach
Normal, ce n'est pas Bach qui lui a fourni le thème mais John Williams (la guerre des étoiles, à 01:58).
😁😉😄
