I love F1, but this game is simply not worth the money. You don't release a game until it is finished. PERIOD. This fix it later approach is exactly is wrong with modern games. Release games when they are ready not when it's financially advantageous.
I've done a couple races now on the trial and the handling is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Much easier to control the car now, especially in the wet.
I remember a game called Race07, amazing handling, you felt that the car had a certain weight. (And waaay before that Monaco GP Racing Simulation 2, great handling for the time). Still wondering why so many years later, developers cannot even get close to the handling of Race07.
Glad I bought it on sale. Although not realistic still fun though. I recently started sim racing and I decided to get this as my main F1 game (but also have mods on AC and will drive the AMS2 equivalents from time to time)... last time I played an official F1 game was from PS2 (Yes I am old hehe). Great review!
Finally a decent review from someone who clearly played the game before reviewing. I can also confirm… 10 hrs into this game…and I’m a sim racer. Wheel feels excellent over the last F1 game. Is it perfect… no. It’s not a sim racing game like iRacing nor will it ever be. Enjoy the game, it’s very good compared to all these reviewers who are bashing it.
The game upon release was an unfinished game. To expect people to report the bugs and upload screen shots, then wait for the bugs to be finished is unreasonable
Good review, I do wish the release could come with a few unbiased reviews from actual F1 drivers to prevent everyone making let's be honest wild guesses and baseless assumptions on what a real F1 car handles like
There are actual real simulations like Assetto Corsa, you know the ones the teams actually use in training. They never use the EA game in the simulators because it's too arcade like.
@joshualayfield2294 yes aware of this, my comment is more about having an actual yardstick to go from rather than straight up assumptions, pretty sure F1 drivers use proprietary simulation software, although of the reviewers compared to assetto corsa or iracing F1 handling that would probably be at least a bit more accurate when commenting on realism
I won’t understand for those who have probably never driven an f1 car saying that it doesn’t feel very realistic. I am not saying it is, but how would you know ? F1 cars are probably weird beasts to control and can imagine to try and replicate it in a game it would probably feel unrealistic to most people, as how on earth would you replicate it, the more one gets to simulate one of those cars the worse it would probably feel in a game like this. That’s my argument anyway.
I disagree with your feeling that the handling isn't that bad. I'm sorry but I think it's beyond atrocious. It's the worst feeling f1 game I've ever played. It is quite literally unplayable or me. It's a oversteering front end with a rear end that has no traction, so you just do nothing but spin on every corner if you try to put any amount of throttle down. I'm getting spins at 0 wheel lock and 25% throttle. I immediately went back to 2023 and it felt 100% better. I requested a refund after a few years because of just how bad this game felt. It's f1 tokyo drift addition because I feel like that's what you need to master to be fast at this. You need to learn how to drift and then control that drift. It just makes no sense.
The handling is the best it has been since F1 2016, casuals hate this. If you're played Automobilista 2 you'd love this. Don't listen to TH-cam F1 guys, most have no idea what they are talking about.
I'm sorry but your'e just objectively wrong. The handling is some of the worst in recent years. There is a reason 52/52 beta testers all said the handling was bad and unplayable.
@kyleholland5853 you ever played automobilista 2? If you have this game remind of that? It's similar to Rfactor 1...did you ever play that? What wheel do you have?

Agree I took my game back and got a refund

Agree… playing the EA play demo on PS5, it feels ok. Turn in is too sensitive, but put rotation at 425 and seems decent so far.
Then ever motion you make is slower because it has to travel a further radius.

With your setup, yes. I couldn’t go back to F1 23.
Good review man! It’s nice to hear something optimistic about the game for a change.
Great review, man! Loved the honesty but also the positivity! Love all your videos!
Thanks for the review! It's great that you do these things👍
Thanks for the review!

I'll wait for the pricetag to drop to $60...
will definitely be waiting for a sale cuz 70$ is crazy, and by that time hopfully the handling will be fixed.
By Christmas time we should have a lower price
@@vjdekauwe6601 hopefully not, summer sale is coming soon lets see if f1 24 is in the sale bunch.

Dont get me wrong each f1 feels different but its supposed to feel different in a positive way like from f122 to f123
thankyou for the review mr horbin von chiefenslatt
I really enjoy the new handling (on controller). You can feel the car working so much more compared to 23.
Long story short: NO.
If you are out of F1 game for a while and you want to have a little fun then Buy a discounted copy of F1 23.
Is it worth full money
at first yeah, now maybe wait for a sale
Is this what the cars feel like in real life?
definitely not
This game is actually a good game..better than F1 23 and 22 imo..i have a blast playing on a simsetup ✨
It look like I'll be waiting for some patches
The handling is actually great. Idk why people were posting about how bad it was 2-4 weeks ago.
Yeah I know, the car actually has weight now.

you can compare telemetry
I’m thinking about buying it my last f1 game was f1 2020
Lol save your money. You already have the best F1 game you can get.
hater
@@griddrop huh
Honestly you should have got 23. The handling last game was awesome
Hahaha, bought the game when it was 70% off, maybe worth the money now.
I just driven a real f1 car and that's exactly how it feels!
LMAO THESE BOTS
@@joshualayfield2294I'm no a bot, trust me bro!
Sound is so bad.
Save you the time, For the price tag...NO. On special, yeah
I w8 a price drop
Typical EA low risk, high reward money grab. Once again, consumers are the reason we get fed slop year in year out.
