I'm from Kolkata and let me tell you a lot goes on in a Bengali wedding. And even within us bengalis some rituals differ according to the family Traditions. My father is a Bengali born and brought up in Kolkata where as my mother was brought up in Chandigarh, I've heard stories of how different the family traditions were and how technically they got married twice, following two different family traditions. My mother still retains the Punjabi cultures she grew up in while my father is Bengali in every possible way. It's quite interesting considering how different yet similar we Indians are. Lots of love from Kolkata ❤❤

Though grandeur and luxury manifested in Indian Weddings may attract westerner as mega events but time has come when a much larger interest can be created among foreigners by letting them know our pure sanatan and vedic traditions of those indians who follow simplicity with full vedic and traditional rituals . Please also cover traditional south indian, marathi and bengali weddings abroad that follow our age old divine nuptial ritual and traditions. Let's not confuse west by only focusing on rich bollywood type weddings. 🙏
I got married in 1978 at that time marriages were simple lot of relatives and lot of people who lived nearby but no great expenses food is made at home no catering in maharashtra middle class family did not spend lots of money on wedding weddings were simple but joyful gathering

Indian specially Hindu wedding process run for arround 10 days in different activities...and final wedding day take 24 hrs to be complete....Hindu wedding has spirituality and fun all.... after marriage we first like to go to Temple for getting blessings of our god🙏🚩...before going to somewhere else
