Omg I was literally thinking the same thing soon as I saw that you can "pick up" materials and place them to build faster, and the way you can select which Nuggets "disciples" you want to have children. Black and White 1 and 2 are some of the best games I've ever played and I've been just wishing that somehow we got a remake or another game to take up the mantle.
If you find the Departed Nuget, I would like to think you can open a trading route maybe build a market. start trading for resources you lack ? PS. I should have waited to the end to post this lol

Please mate, don't rush main. Expan your civ's capabilities to ensure their survival. Food preservation sounds very helpful. Medical diagnosis sounds like a great way of healing nuggets without having to use divinity. Boiled water seems like it will give more drinkable water capacity. Probably +2 or +3. You have 80 research coins or whatever were those called. Make good use of them, because keeping them unused won't give you more research speed or anything else helpful... most probably.
