Omg I'm so glad I read the comments! I was driving myself mad and even unravelled step 14 twice before checking! I'm so happy with how it's turning out!
I started crocheting two weeks ago and I decided to make your Octopus. I live in Florida and my whole house is filled with ocean sea life as far as rugs, photos and bedspreads. Today I started at 1 o’clock pm and I finally finished your octopus at 9 o’clock pm tonight. I didn’t know any crochet stitches, but I followed what you were doing all through the day and learned a lot. I made my octopus a deep blue and then put white around the edges of the tentacles and white suction cups. I am going to give him yellow eyes, but I will glue them on because I think they look realistic. They are the eyes I use for polymer clay animals. Thank you so much for being so clear in your teaching. My husband had football on all day and it was nice to listen to it, but yet have something fun to do like your octopus. I am going to learn how to knit as well. I have a 10-year-old granddaughter that just started crocheting so I want to learn everything I can to help her. I’m going to make some fun Christmas gifts for my four grandchildren. Thank you I had a great time. 😄👍🏻
Oh, I am THRILLED to hear this! How awesome! That is so fun that you were able to make the octopus in a day! Whenever my family is watching football, crocheting is one of my favorite things to do, too! Thanks so much for sharing that with me, it made my day! I hope you and your granddaughter can find more crochet tutorials on my channel to try, what a special thing to do together!🥰
Thank you so much for the tutorial and free written pattern on your blog! I've been crocheting many amigurumi's but this is my first realistic one. I love it so much!!! Thank you once again. You're really talented, so please keep it up with your excellent work!
As an absolute beginner, this is my first project ever, you made this experience fabulous!! I was able to follow along, understand and create a beautiful purple molded octopus 🐙 ty ty ty 😊
Thank you so much for this no-sew octo, I'm gonna make a few for my upcoming holiday market! I mostly avoid Amigurumi cuz I hate sewing pieces together, but I've always wanted to make an octopus
This is an awesome tutorial! Thank you so much! I'm fairly new to crochet and have only made about 3 things so far. You made this really easy for a beginner like me. I made it as a gift for my aunt and she loved it! ❤

I love this octopus! The only problem I have is theres no written row in the video. I have trouble processing audio and I think a row tracker/stitch tracker of somesort will help a lot of people.
This is a cute pattern. Using a solid yarn that’s not fluffy would be ideal for a video and I had a hard time following the underside of the arms. I wasn’t sure if you meant to alternate the term stitch and chain as the same meaning but it was too fast for me to follow and understand
Thanks for your input! I plan to not use speckled yarn in the future! Please feel free to email me: sweetcreekpatterns@gmail.com if you need any help and I would be happy to assist you!
