    Oh my , that performance started on the soles of Mr Whitlock's feet and slowly rose all the way up to the crown of his head in perfect synchronicity. Nothing but pure heart ,soul and devotion . Quite superb .

    Bobby Whitlock has one of the most passionate, soulful voices in rock history. A real musical genius. And no one in rock, tells a better story than Bobby.

    A good cat story and a sad dog story. Straight to the heart. Love 'Thorn Tree In The Garden'. Thank you.

    Such an emotional and heartbreaking song and thank you for the story of your loss. I'm afraid that if that guy had done that to my dog, he would have been in for a good ole Mississippi "hand talkin'.." and probably an ER visit!

    Expressway To Your Heart........brings back so many memories. Written by Richie & Charlie Ingui and fronted on stage by my friend, Kenny Jeremiah. Needless to say, one of the great rock and roll songs of the late-60s. At the beginning of my music career (1970), I used to stay at Charlie's apartment in NYC about two blocks away from Fillmore East. His girlfriend at the time was an old friend of mine from high school and she'd let me stay when I'd come up to the city from Philly. Those were great times in my life!

      Did the Young Rascals do that song as well? Inquiring minds want to know.

    Express way to your heart! First heard it by Amen Corner. The best 'mod' band in the UK!

    I always loved that song, but now I know the story behind it, it will always bring me real sorrow. I don’t know why he couldn’t find his dog or how someone could do such a thing.

      When students ask me what kind of singers I like, compared to the Ed Sheeran types, I just play them this song, and especially at 11:44. They usually hang their heads and stay very silent. :)

    I'm probably the only one here who just found out who Bobby Whitlock is but has been a fan of the guy with the electric guitar Moses Mo (of Mothers Finest) for over 40 years.
    I must admit this is not his best performance though 😁

  • @loilt5091
    @loilt5091 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    This is frickin' great...I could listen to Bobby all day, singin' or talkin'!!
    That electric guitar is too loud in the mix, eclipsing Bobby's acoustic...just sayin'

    The electric guitar playing in the background is absolutely annoying.
