@Greg.. Can you please advise by using Canva If there is going to be any issue with DPI... My pictures are 96 dpi only for T-shirts and will this cause any quality issues while printing and also heard people complaining about RGB color is not recommend while printing..So should I avoid using Canva for a colorful tshirt or is there any workaround.. I have some 50 designs ready from Canva but waiting to upload it since there are some talks of quality issues.

I have used a template in canva to make a design for tshirt but I did not use the 5000 x 5000 pixel. Is that a problem?? Will it be blurry when printed?? Thank you.

He's not giving me a two minute tour of his sports car and a three minute tour of his mansion. He's teaching what I have an interest in and doing it eloquently so. That equals a thumbs up.

I agree, that's one thing I like about Greg's content. He's straightforward and explains well. TH-cam is saturated with TH-camrs who make long vlogs yelling about their morning routine, apartment, car etc, then don't even offer you any sound advice, so you waste 10 minutes. Greg is the opposite!

Hi Greg Great post, thank you. My question is with regards to the license agreement. I understand that I am fine to create designs usung the Canva fonts for free, however, not quite clear on using other design elements like those vector shapes, stock images, pre-set colour backgrounds, or look and outline. I have gone through their license agreement few times, the One Time Use LA, the Multi Use and the Extended LA, but still feel it a bit blurry. Can you please advise? Thanks Istvan

Hi Greg, I have been watching your videos and trying to learn from you for the past 2 weeks. I am a single mom unemployed for 7 weeks now due to Corona and trying to become an online entrprenuer to supply income. Anyays, I have signed up for Canva for free but when I select create a design or custom dimensions, a red circle with a line through it appears and won't let me select it. I tried to get help from Canva with no success. Help! Thank you for your very helpful free videos with no nonsense. It's been a blessing to me.

On a PC you can use the free Photo editor software GIMP and add an Alpha Channel to the background Colour which can be transparent.

Thank you so much. I have used Canva for business marketing materials and flyers. I’m am now using it to start my clothing collection on teespring. I’ve been struggling with the pixel parameters. This is going to be a huge benefit when designing. I do have a premium membership which I find is very helpful since I own a PC.

I just use canva to design word-based t shirts. I am planning to create design based t shirts as well. Could you please tell me whether Canva's elements (shapes, stickers, and icons etc.) (NOT photos) are free to use on t-shirts?

Hey Greg! I was wondering if you could talk a bit about the commercial use of elements from websites like Canva. Though they do mention that free elements are available for commercial and personal use, I was hoping that you could touch on this and other aspects of license agreements that we should keep an eye out for(so that we can keep ourselves out of any legal trouble haha)

Greg I know it's Sunday, but I'm going to give this a try I'm following your video here about using canva, but did you know that they have a section on t-shirts. I and maybe mistakenly picked that, thinking it would help me make it easier to transfer over to teespring. When I clicked on the download button, I see that the shirt that I've designed will be on Canva. How do I transfer that over to teespring?
No worries! Just make sure that you are using the right pixel size. Choosing from the templates in the beginning, often sets the pixel size pretty small. As you see in the beginning of this video setting a custom dimension allows you to make these designs the biggest we possibly can which is best for printing on a T-shirt. Once you download the design, it will be downloaded onto your computer, where you can then go to Teespring and upload that file. Remember as well, that you may need to remove the white background so that you have a transparent background to be printed on the shirt. I hope that helps!

Same question here. This only works on Mac. That entire menu thing does not pop up in a PC, so we can’t edit out the white spaces in letters. How the heck does everyone do it? They never talk about it except here.

Great question! They are really close. I havent had a single complaint over the years from anyone saying they didn't look like the model, so I dont think you'll have any issues :)

This is great! But, I do have a background image that I want behind the text on my t shirt design. How is that done? Example: USA flag with writing across it.
Hey Robert, No worries! You can go to uploads and upload the image, or add it from the images on the left, and then select arrange, send to back :)
I found you can use Microsoft Publisher to get rid of the background.

I’m using the dimensions 5000X5000. When I upload it to teespring it says the quality is good. I’m looking for great. Do you suggest another dimension?
5000x5000 is pretty huge, but there is 1 last thing you could do (That I usually do for leggings because the print area is so big). This is changing the custom dimensions box to inches instead of px, and maxing that out. I believe the max is 55x55 inches. I hope that helps!
I apologize for asking a question more than once. I am kind of stuck here. I am also new to leaving comments. I never know if older videos get looked at. After creating a design on Canva, can you use Bulkresize to get rid of the background? I saw a button there that appears to let you remove the background.
No worries! Nope, bulkresize is just for resizing. Lunapic.com has a free transparent tool, or Canva pro has the button for it (and has a 30 day free trial).
@@GregGottfried I am trying to get started creating logos for t-shirts & I signed up for Canva pro but when I download my logo & choose transparent background option and go to open the file it shows a grid-like background so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Thank you in advance for any help.

After watching this vid, Ive been messing around with Paint .net for PC. First tests came out perfect. It is a full featured free app for windows that can quickly and easily remove white backgrounds and save your design as a high quality PNG file
I remembered another question I had about pricing .. 😅
I saw that if Teespring feature you on the website they take 6.75$ off your profit.. But what if my profit is only 5$? Then there’s no chance that my product will be featured? If so, should I always keep at least 7$ of profit?

Thanks for asking! The best for this is adobe Illustrator in my opinion. It's definitely more advanced, but adobe has some really good products for advanced designing.
