Nathan Drake can only translate Latin & Spanish, and in the OG TR games, sometimes the player couldn't even figure out how to solve a puzzle because the game lacked so much info. Lara had to be smart and solve puzzles using clues around the room, not rely on friends she didn't need or have.

You get hints and advice from Drake's friends. But you don't get any direct clues. Actually Lara is in fact more intelligent than Nathan. She speaks multiple languages and can even read and decipher some antique languages as well. I played Uncharted 3 and 4 and now TR 2013, Rise and busy with Shadow (favourite). Enjoyed them all and combat was fun, but Nathan had better puzzles, traversing Lara with pickaxes was fun and both have incredible feats. But I think Nathan would win since Lara did get tougher overtime when she wasn't that way and Nathan just got tougher.

As per watchmojo said it's an unprofessional, untrained guy vs a professional,trained and experienced Tomb Raider. So Lara wins to like low- mid difficulty at best against Nate. I love Lara for that. But hands down Uncharted series gave birth to the gameplay mechanics that the newest Tomb Raider games have. I love Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy gameplay mechanics. As Uncharted series gave as the experience we can have in Rise & Shadow of the Tomb Raider respectively. Both are legends.

I think Lara suffered more than him and it feels like she has less allies in her games even if number wise its not true, she works mostly alone. Nate succeeds thanks to his allies in most cases. Lara didnt start life alone she had everything and is alone mostly by choice, Nate is the opposite he start life badly with really not many people in his life as an orphan with his brother, and living in the streets, but slowly built his life and gained more allies. I feel both are smart and has experience according to their past. If you take the last rebooted trilogy as canon, Lara definitely dealt with stuff she was forced to and saved the literal world from horrible stuff. Nate looks for money and mostly goes to search for trouble, he definitely brings it on himself, and everytime he ends up giving it up to save everyone. Thry both really strong physically even if Lara is a woman we can clearly see she definitely is. Lara was forced to endure more than Nate, the first reboot game (2013) she ended up on Yamatai not how she thought, they didnt know the island they look for is cursed with an evil force and they will crush the ship and have to survive.
Lara actually pretty easily wins. In the first game alone she was able to defeat a town level opponent who face tanked a nuke. She also has a multitude of speed feats in which she dodged things ranging from bullets to actual lightning.

Nathan Drake can only translate Latin & Spanish, and in the OG TR games, sometimes the player couldn't even figure out how to solve a puzzle because the game lacked so much info. Lara had to be smart and solve puzzles using clues around the room, not rely on friends she didn't need or have.

You get hints and advice from Drake's friends. But you don't get any direct clues. Even climbing can be a puzzle because it's not obvious where you need to go all that since again there are no quest markers so you have to look.

Actually Lara is in fact more intelligent than Nathan. She speaks multiple languages and can even read and decipher some antique languages as well. Also she deciphers old languages by just learning them on the way. Also she's a talented tactician. Nathan is just guns blazing pretty much. I played Uncharted 3 and 4 and now TR 2013, Rise and busy with Shadow (favourite). Enjoyed them all and combat was fun, but Nathan had better puzzles, traversing Lara with pickaxes was fun and both have incredible feats. But I think Nathan would win since Lara did get tougher overtime when she wasn't that way and Nathan just got tougher.

OK, so, SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER, now that we’re on the same page: I get what you mean; she does sacrifice herself to become the protector of that ancient city thing (I forgot its name), but there are a myriad of things wrong with what you said. (A) It’s not a universal rewrite LOL, the characters throughout the entire fight constantly say “help me rewrite and reshape this *world*” or that they’re the supposed saviour of the destiny of the world, etc. It’s always described/considered a world, not an entire observable universe. Hell, when Lara is sacrificed the chick who stabs her legit states they need to sacrifice a god in order to provide energy to the sun and prevent it from destroying the world, meaning, it’s Planet-Level at absolute best or Moon-Level if you consider it more of a life-wiping feat/achievement. (B) Lara didn’t become a god, well, not permanently at least. She transitorily became one when the power of Kukulkan was transferred to her, but like, she was sacrificed, remember? They legit said a god needed to be sacrificed, and so, she sacrificed her goddess form. Evident with how she’s no longer luminescing golden aura covering her skin even though whenever someone possessed the power of Kukulkan their skin’s texture turns gold, yet Lara’s skin is utterly normal anon the scene she’s sacrificed. Implying she lost the power after the ritual as she sacrificed it. So, no, she ain’t a goddess.
Nathan luck's is very underestimated, like all the time in game the enemies are shooting, none of the bullets hit him until the very last time, plus his feats are crazy too

She knows 15 languages. She doesn’t have a book that has everything in it. She walks in with a goal, works on the fly and walks out when she’s done. She’s destroyed entire islands and ecosystems, and doesn’t get anything out of it. Whatever she takes home she leaves in her museum and lies to the public about what she saw. I think Lara suffered more than him and it feels like she has less allies in her games even if number wise its not true, she works mostly alone. Nate succeeds thanks to his allies in most cases. Lara didnt start life alone she had everything and is alone mostly by choice, Nate is the opposite he start life badly with really not many people in his life as an orphan with his brother, and living in the streets, but slowly built his life and gained more allies.
I feel both are smart and has experience according to their past.
If you take the last rebooted trilogy as canon, Lara definitely dealt with stuff she was forced to and saved the literal world from horrible stuff. Nate looks for money and mostly goes to search for trouble, he definitely brings it on himself, and everytime he ends up giving it up to save everyone.
Thry both really strong physically even if Lara is a woman we can clearly see she definitely is.
Lara was forced to endure more than Nate, the first reboot game (2013) she ended up on Yamatai not how she thought, they didnt know the island they look for is cursed with an evil force and they will crush the ship and have to survive.
Lara actually pretty easily wins. In the first game alone she was able to defeat a town level opponent who face tanked a nuke. She also has a multitude of speed feats in which she dodged things ranging from bullets to actual lightning.

The irony too she would have succeeded in even killing Nate if it weren't for Rafe giving alternative direction, throughout the game you can hear her frustration with Rafe concerning her mercenary group.
