the pillows on your daughters bed are perfection with the dusty rose quilt.. and I actually own that mauve pillow in ... wait for it... NAVY!!!! I could so see it in your new living room. I have had a camel back navy sofa for 20 years... claw foot feet in a dark wood and nail head trim on the arms.. Love it and now its back in style!!! And I collect blue and white dishes and old silver .... all coming back.... Yeah... grandma is cool again
You must’ve bought my old zipper collection when I donated them last year. I liquidated almost my entire sewing room after 40 years.
Oh my gosh I had so much stuff but I couldn’t remember the last time I had made a pillow cover or duvet or pinch pleat curtains.

Oh my word, thank you for telling me what you use to hang plates!!! I’ve been searching everywhere and it’s like nobody has ever heard of adhesive hooks. They must have been way more popular in my moms time. I stopped the video and order some asap!

I really appreciate that you have tips on how to style different items and that you always show what you do with them.
Consider doing a video of “thrifted” or creative window treatments. I’m looking for ideas for the whole house but I am going to be working on my bathroom. It has a small window that needs something. I tend to go toward valances but am ready to jump out of the box!

LOVE ,LOVE, LOVE these videos !!! The blue lampshade is my favorite as well as those cute baskets. Wish I had some thrift stores near me that had such nice things in them as your seem to.

When the candle is done, the little tin container can then be reused! I love little, medium and even big boxes with lids. Currently I am making one to be my granddaughter’s treasure box. She loves just picking up stuff on our walks thru the yard. Glad to see you are adding some color to your decor!

Love your videos! You are so correct about the same color shades in a room, the same principle is used in painting. Love your loot, I am a fabric lover. We do the candle thing too :) But at Costco, you can get really great battery operated candles, so we use those instead since they're a bit safer when one person is sleeping. They have the flickering wick so it looks very authentic in person :)
I love where you’re going with your new decor! I’m going that way too. I’m our master I’m changing into kind of Vintage Hunting Lodge inspired with the dark woods, dark walls and lots of gold and plaid etc. I like a masculine-ish but still romantic bedroom.
Loved this! Im also proud that I do have 3.... maybe 4 pops of the same accent color in my living room so I must be doing something right!
I found a similar church plate at Goodwill the other day, but left if because I wasn't sure how to incorporate it into my home. I love all this. I've been wanting to do the pinch pleat curtains and some wallpaper too!

Bedtimes: our bedside tables are on dimmers, which I turn on LOW, before the hubs goes to bed; he turns his Off when he goes to bed, then when I retire for the night, my bedside lamp is on, but very very low, enough so I can see where the bed is! Fixes the problem of different bedtimes!

HA ......that is so funny that you said that your dog needs a chaise. I had one that I bought at an antique store for 35.00 and had it reupholstered for 600.00. It is now known as the Sydney Chaise

Love all your videos, especially your thrifted finds. I'm wondering what you do with all the other beautiful items you've thrifted that you are not using in your decor any longer? Do you keep them all stored away or do you donate some back to your thrift stores? I started storing "seasonal" items like you showed in another video. Love that idea as well. Also, I've heard from other TH-camr's or bloggers that you have to be careful with thrifted pillows, blankets, etc. Do you do something special to clean them?
Hi Nina! Not sure if this is the video you're mentioning (th-cam.com/video/eGXA2iwqoGg/w-d-xo.html), but I store away my newer thrifted decorations in this same system in amongst the seasonal items!
I've found my washing machine does a fine job getting any pillows/blankets/linens/fabrics clean, so I've never had any issues!
What kind of dog do you have?
We have a large and medium dog . I feel like my house is a giant dog bed 😂

Man...I have to wait 30+ days to see my Favorite Videos!!!!! These will Never get old for me. I Love the embroidered pillow and Gorgoeus pink Velveteen blanket on your daughter's bed! And the white fireside room still looks Gorgeous as is! I love the small weave basket you found! Yummy! So dainty. I would have picked that up in a second! I know you are busy, but in my opinion...You would get so many more Subs/views if you did these vid's much more often. There are so many Thrifter;s out there making vid's but they pick out the Ugliest items!! Whereas You, My Dear...Pick out beautiful items! SELL the items that don't work in your house, online!!! This way you are making beautiful content, upping your views, and making money also by re-selling! But, like I said, I think you have more interesting projects plus cooking 3 meals for a big family every single day, plus schooling. golly, don't know how you You tubers do everything you do! thanks for making my afternoon!

Note spelling of longue it is the French feminine adjective for long. Chaise longue translates as long chair.
Lounge is a completely different word.

As a musician and a piano player it drives me nuts that instruments are treated like a furniture piece! Especially repainting one (and I love most shades of blue) I'm also am interior designer and I love mixing things up and changing things around, but instruments for decoration (even if you are playing yourself) is a big no no in my opinion.
To each their own! :) This piano was my grandparents, and being able to paint it and keep it as part of my decor for years to come is more special to me than trying to keep it in a certain condition and feeling like it doesn't fit well in our space!
It has also already been painted at least 4 times, so there's really no harm in one more coat! ;)
