My opinion is that you a did a good call in playing in safe mode. The atmosphere is still there, also the scary jumps, and when there is a direct encounter you are still knocked out, but without the epilectic atttack and the screen saying you are dead... Instead of going back and repeat a section you just continue. Believe me it saved you from a huge headache with the electromagnetic guy which would constantly kill you and would get frustrated like i did. Without the safe mode i would have give up on that point... For me the story is the part that matters, and being worried all the time about not being killed just ruin the experience of gettibg involved into the story
Fun fact, by torturing "Carl" to get into the comms center you saved yourself a bit of a headache. Basically Carl-bot either gets tortured or dies painlessly (by shutting off the power regulator, which is what I did). HOWEVER, picking that option also allows the Construct (the dinosaur looking thing) access to that upper level. Sure, Carl-bot wasn't your biggest fan at the end there, but you saved yourself a hell of a cat-and-mouse sequence getting to the comms center.
As long as u try to defeat ur fears, that's all that counts. 👍🏻 I'm glad I'm not the only one that still has a baby blanket- I'm 33 now. Lol This game looks really cool and Iv nvr heard of it. Thnx for playing, hope u do a pt.2
Still wanted to leave a comment, but I just don't have the time to revisit this particular underwater adventure, how awfully inconvenient! I had so much fun watching it last time, too 😞
If the game Subnautica had a father, this would be it. I played this a yr and a half ago, and I was so stunned how good this was. I would love a sequel. Here are some short games in the indie horror genre I think you would like. Games not to long, but pack a pretty decent punch. Mortuary Assistant, Poppy Playtime, Choo Choo Charles, Emily wants to play, Emily wants to play too, and Amnesia The Bunker. Prey would be my choice for that big triple A title that's as good as it gets for a horror/scifi game. Welcome back Mae
Do what you want. You do you, but how can you be scared if there's no danger? If I played something like Resident Evil and knew I couldn't die, that would kill all the experience.

@@daneaster7 I apologize, I didn't understand your original comment. in my opinion, I was already scared enough by the water that I didn't think I needed the added enemy encounters. I don't feel I missed out on anything because I found the environment/story to be the most important bit 😊
