This trick works well, when i am using small cutter to make flat head grove on screw, it not working, but this soldering trick works for me, just make sure use good torque screw driver not small length one.

Try small electric griding pen instead! Just drill a new small groove for a flat head into the screw and unscrew it easily. I for example us MaAnt grinding pen which i got of aliexpress for few bucks.
