I've been farming a lot the past 2 days. I didn't get a lot of good stuff, and I'd usually get 1 masterwork per stronghold. I woke up this morning, saw this video, and in my 2nd stronghold of the day in Tyrant Mine I got 2 Unending Battles and an Avenging Herald. Thanks m8.
A quick tip... if you main interceptor I strongly reccomend switching the melee button. If your melee button is next to your jump button it makes it easy to short hop your aerial melee which is an aoe attack and does a lot of damage. If you keep rhythmically pressing the melee and jump button together it will interrupt your jump and result in a smash brothers style short jump attack and can destroy enemies. Hope this helps!
Cool by pure accident I was already using most of the low-grade abilities of this build. Glad to know it's viable in late stages for clearing the room. It has really nice flow from target to target and I enjoy the high pace of this build so far. I'll be on the lookout for these Masterwork work components when I get there just stared today. Nice video
On Colossus all you really need is volatic dome (masterwork shock coil) and solvent green (masterwork acid spitter) solvent green has 200% combo damage bonus while volatic dome will freeze enemies in place, once primed with either, all you got to do is melee to detonate for huge damage.
Hey man, this was super in-depth and very useful. One of the first actual thought out builds that explains things, instead of just going 'Use this ability because the dmg is super high lul'. I'll gladly watch more of your Anthem build videos. Anything for Storm? They have so many build options.
I recommend that you have 40-65% max shield on one weapon and they can also come with up to 75% max armor, weapons that is. For gear Im running similar but with the Strike with 100% charge, and Im using the Dash instead of venom bomb, but a legendary with 200% charges. I dont feel the need for that extra dmg from acid but want to have the ability to move across half the map. The Elecrocute dash have very very long range and deals alot of damage. As primary weapon Im using Siege breaker, since its automatic sniper but you never run out of ammo and instantly reload after 3 dashes. Siege breaker will add the freeze which I then combo off. Its also an insane weapon for the interceptor to keep multiple targets locked in place, or turrets etc, just dash 3 times for reload, rince repeat. But again to play melee, you kind of need full master work and legendary gear, the damage becomes insane and your tanky. And you need weapons rolled in with + max armor and + max shields, any other stats is none relevant. Those 2 stats is extremly common when your crafting so if you dotn have it, just craft a weapon of the version you want once unlocked and you will get armor or shields max. This is not a base max when from weapons, so when you add in fully geared out you will be tankier then a colossus in epic with some master work inscriptions. The difference is night and day.
Most fun I've had so far is with the interceptor I think they need to do something with the ranger in my opinion it's so weak comparable to the rest.. Absolutely loving your content mate nice to see a creator having fun with anthem
This is a great build and I love that it plays to the interceptor’s mobility. Definitely got it saved for freeplay. Would be curious to see how it plays with the masterwork acid spray, using your melee as your only detonator. Personally I just go for pure damage in strongholds. For the most part this is the build I've been running with the exception of a few components I just dont have. I have noticed that against scorpions, especially the ones that explode, cryo glave comes in handy more because of the frost aura. I switch between Sudden strike and Vipers bite (also have 100 % charges on that), which recharges 700 % on ultimate attack. Since I have 2 uses of it I have basically always ultimate available.

I found that now that I’ve gotten a handle on the hit and run style I run vengeance matrix over elusive talisman, most things die from one sudden death hit or bring them to being able to be killed very quickly thereafter from melee, and with ammo in magazine being refilled by drops talisman isn’t entirely needed while matrix helps buff sudden death damage. Generally combat rhythm is closing with a dash, hovering, dropping a venom bomb for the two ticks of damage, firing with unending battle a couple times, then dropping in and dumping 1-2 Sudden Death hits (mine has two charges) and dashing back out or to the next pack depending on how that went. As a side note I vastly prefer charges over bonus damage on sudden death if I’m unable to roll one with both, it generally wipes packs with all buffs up even without the bonus damage so being able to quickly move between packs and have more uptime on it is valuable. For the beefier targets I can just dump both charges and it will bring them down or to a quarter hp or so.
that was the most rare thing and will probably never happen again lol he died during tempest strike but tempest strike finished and gave him the mele kill healing bonus making him get revived again :O
REALLY want someone to do an in-dept video going over whether it's better to have full Masterwork/Legendary components, or stacking the Masterwork/Epic pairs that do the same boost. For example, there's a component that does +X% damage, and you can equip the Epic and Masterwork variant making it +2X%. You do lose out on the big Armour / Shield bonus. And the unique Masterwork traits (like "use Q increases E damage" etc). Just wondering for specific builds if using some pairs > all Masterwork, or if it's just not worth it...
in the components use vengeance matrix instead of the one that gives +30% damage on 2 gear hits for 5 secs. It gives u a perma 50% buff in all damage which is 10% more damage even if u add the percetages the other component gives. As for the extra damage that u take i wouldnt worry too much as like u said u perma gain health back due to the component with melee kills. If you really wanna go overboard u can also use the purple component double edge sword by taking out somethin like elusive talishman and strictly use pistol for damage buff stacking. But also u sacrifice a large portion of armor and shied for that component. The only real addition for me would be to add veng matrix. Im also using Thunderbolt of yvenia as 2nd weapon to strip shields from a distance. As always tho arekz thats a great interceptor guide to help out some people get i nthe right direction. Keep up with the good content mate. Take care
I've found better results by stripping off Way of the Bold for Vengeance Matrix myself. Melee kills restore armor is only viable when you're killing enemies and Vengeance matrix increases all damage (combo pulse damage buff) and lets you get through those little guys faster so you spawn more repair tokens. If your shield has been stripped you shouldn't be in melee anyways as you no longer have the instakill immunity, so you are extremely vulnerable.
@@GalenAndrico I dont think thats true mate way of the bold is whats keeping you alive in so so many situations because its always giving health back. And to be honest it contributes to playing the class they way its supposed to!! And at least imo its a waste of time playing interceptor if u only go for melee damage when u got shield on :P thats just my opinion tho so if that tweak you wrote works for you its more than enouf for me ;3
@@kaggeh_ Well, it'd be nice to spend all the time in melee but my experience has been that whenever my shield breaks Im a shot or two away from death. Way of the Bold or not. So I tend to rely on quick in-out bursts of damage that align with ability cooldowns and a melee or two depending on stagger time then dodge out and use a Devastator for a shot or two. On hard or lower, yeah. Way of the Bold lets me keep going and going but I haven't found it to be effective on the grandmaster difficulties.
@@GalenAndrico going prolonged melee up to gm2 has worked fine for me on a 492 gearscore interceptor so i dunno what to say bro. If your having fun like that then thats totally cool with me ;3 take care bro
I chose Vassa surprise for secondary it’s special is on melee hit gain 100% ammo in the magazine makes for quick shots between enemies without having to reload
Ummm I just wanted to say that if you use the target beacon, than throw the acid bomb and go into ult with the interceptor, you do a pretty good amount of damage to any boss just hitting their feet.
@@SirMopy this build kinda works in gm2 with a Taris as a secondary weapon. The difference is that for gm2 you use your guns more because melee damage is too low due to poor scaling and keeps you still for too long making it very dangerous. I've tended to remove the +melee damage inscription on my build though. With a Taris this build does amazing on bosses because acid+beacon really boosts single target damage.
@@Stinkis I've been farming a Taris for some time but still nothing. Can confirm that in GM2 this build is VERY dangerous without it, because you basically can't get hit by anything except graze shots, so you need to be really fast to be able to jump in the middle of a group of enemies, combo them and dash out. The smallest mistake or even some bad luck will cost you your shield and half your hp. Sometimes you even jump knowing you're going to get hurt (and then you get killed if you miscalculate anything), depending on the enemy. Common mistakes will get you killed (while others will only get hurt). I love the playstyle but I don't feel that this build is viable, especially when compared to others. Your margin for errors is way too small. Still, this is great for GM1. You're still very much at risk if you actually screw up, but it really feels like it's your own fault when you die, unlike being able to dodge all attacks for 10 minutes and get 1 shot >.
The Truth of Tarsis with some token of elusiveness or something. I saw a video on it. Dude was doing over 150k damage every few seconds with the interceptor
Awesome, thanks guys. I like my interceptor, but my hardcore meta buddies are talking crap saying id never do well in GM2 or 3. I can faceroll GM1 right now with a random build of stuff, but I want to build a concrete decent one for higher ranks.
Nice, I coincidentally made this build already, just lacking the first weapon and the tempest strike master work. I instead have detonating strike which instead of targeting the biggest guy in the group, I target the smallest one and have him blow up for massive damage to kill all the other small dudes, leaving me with the Hunter or Enforcer or what not.
I've been using a similar build, I am using Viper's Bite instead of sudden death for the ult charge. Groups of mobs melt and fill the bar completely it's pretty nice. I am going to miss drop kicking things from a mile up in space though.
Today Melee of the Interceptor got boosted hard for me. Also try exchange the Acid Bomb with the Ice glaive. It has a 100% proc-chance and it awesome for CC. And I haven't checked in the newest Patch, but the avenging Herold was bugged, it did only 100% bonus damage. AND my biggest hint. There are Component Inscriptions which increase melee Damage. Those are a HUGE boost. I found upto 50% extra melee damage for universal epics components, with the downside of having less life.
Yo, this is definitely what I'm aiming for except I'm thinking truth of tarsis and siegebreaker for that insane burst damage and CC from range. Elusive talisman gives functionally unlimited ammo to both guns meaning you have a jack of all trades that can melee and snipe like crazy
gear rank 400. I don't have any of the masterwork components yet, but Previous to this build i really like spark dash. It's range is insane, and does good damage with a super low cold own. You're basically warping to enemies and then nuking+meleeing. Also reallly good at taking out flyers. The problem is there are no primers at range to use which is unfortunate. I'd use spark dash into tempest or detonating. now at gm 1 i changed over to this build because i needed the armor debuff and combo effects.
I'm still an uncommon interceptor, will try this build in the future. But so far my javelin is a duelist at best regarding to melee. On hard the basic fodder can deplete my shield in a single attack.
@@johnathanmcdonald6984 that's nice to hear. I'm just worried that I have to start all over again since right now my play style relies heavily on the guns, cheesing and kiting a mob, and only engaging in melee one on one. Guess it's still fall under intercepting.
Awesome video. I do think there should be a masterwork weapon that increases melee damage for every minute that the weapon has not been shot or something along those lines. I'm finding that I can go through missions and think that it could be a play style to specialize in. Thoughts?
im wondering if viper's bite be a better choice for sudden death as well since viper is also acid damage with high damage, it gets buffed by serpents vail buff and the acid component. and since your malee is a detonator having 2 primers is not a bad choice also considering viper also speeds up your ultimate charge. so far i am loving your build (i dont have the dash 3 times to reload component yet though sadly still looking for it) thanks for this build though its very fun
@Arekkz Gaming ok just tested the vipers bite as i got a legendary drop, and it has the inscription of 100% charge so i get 2 charges with it. since your malee is a detonator it actually works really well and you can constantly be in super mode which also helps survivability and damage output. I also find pairing the truth of tarsis as the secondary weapon, fixed my boss issues for titans and hard to melee bosses as paired with the elusive talisman it works wonders as you don't have to worry about ammo, and also the ability from truth detonates twice if the boss is primed by hitting weak spots. another note is with components you have added with the acid grenade ability (malee kills increases acid damage by 100%) vipers bite will do an additional 175% extra damage. sorry for the long post just wanted you to know and see what you think
Pretty much my exact build very good! May i ask though what atteibutes on gear/componants do you suggest trying to get and if you had to pick what weapon as secondary would you pick if one? Curious, but great content keep it up! Loving the game :)
One thing iv noticed is that strikers savagery(the melee buff from machine pistol) does NOT proc consistently... I dont know if it has an internal cooldown but need clarification on it. Sometimes it procs after 2 shots, sometime I go 2 magazines before it shows up
I have noticed this as well and from what I've seen you cant a totally be at "point blank" range there needs to be some space between you and the target and it seemed to proc much more consistantly.

Pretty much my build pre-gm without masterworks. Been stacking repair drop rate for the health on kill since I don't have the masterwork components.
That's almost my exact build but I had to keep 2 purples in the components because one has plus 44&32% acid damage. The other had q and e plus 23%. I cant find better masterworks to swap out
i use this combo right now, but i'm kinda interested in a lightning melee build using spark dash and detonating strike... Something about dashing across the planet multiple times with a shit ton of cdr and blowing up a mob with your detonating strike after doing 90% of their hp with spark dash feels really nice...
Yeah spark dash was interesting for me too...I'm really enjoying Venom bomb but there is something so satisfying about the added movement you get with Spark Dash.
I guess I'm not in on the more common interceptor setup. I'm having tons of fun with a Dash -> Venom spray build zooming around the battlefield like a Mass Effect Vanguard, only I'm a super duper fast bug that just won't die
Interceptor main here. I am only lvl 19 atm I hear interceptor is not viable at GM 2 and 3 is that true? If so should I switch to a different javelin to progress?
for the secondary weapon I use Papa Pump and its insane like tyrant mine boss fight goes down too fast with it, also the knockback can be a lifesaver up close.
TooAngryForYou tolling carnage steam rolls the papa pump. If I wanted to steam roll tyrant mine on anything less than gm I’d just use truth of Tarsis or avenging herald
I've been using the same build. Very fun and smashes gm1. Gm2 however it really drops off some. Doable yes effective not so much. Perhaps full crazy God rolls though will help.
Is there a list of all Masterwork weapons and items that can be farmed on Easy to Hard difficulty? Just got 30 and find myself a little weak for Grandmaster. Have so far only gotten two weapons (gotten 3 Elemental rage, and one Masterwork version of the Deadeye sniper rifle but I have forgotten what it's called) on Hard difficulty, and wonder exactly what items I can farm on the lower difficulties to be ready for Grandmaster? Also is there an increased rate of Masterwork drop from Easy to Hard? Or is it the same drop chance?
Actually I found the answer on reddit, it seem to be one weapon from each weapon class: Assault Rife: Elemental Rage Marksman Rifle: Thuderbolt of Yvenia Heavy Pistol: Avenging Herald Grenade launcher: Insult And Injury Machine Pistol: Unending Battle Shotgun: Papa Pump Light Machine Gun: Artinia's Gambit Autocannon: Fist of Stral Sniper rifle: Wyvern Blitz (this is the one I got). I do wonder if there is other gear and inscriptions to get on regular difficulties.
Good evening I stuff my interceptor right now and I would like to know why you play with Elusive talisman and not with revenge matrix for a build melee is not better?
Soul Injekt I would imagine that the decreased survivability. Since it’s easier to get killed running RM. But idk. I’m gonna try running both to see which one I like more
I love this build, and im a big fan of using consumables for that little extra boost. Could you please add what consumables are best to use on intercepter. I've been using melee, armor or gear, and shield. thanks
Melee always. Shield and armor if you struggle with survivability... With the right build and play style you should never need shield or armor but stick with those until you're confident in your build and skill level. Also never face an ursix head on with melee at gm1 or higher... You will die lol
Interceptor Shotgun Build? That Elusive Talisman + Rolling Carnage, and a good combo of components and skills for that? Elusive Talisman works well with the likes of Devastator sniper too, for those big hits...
they should allow the getting into your javelin video to fully play before matchmaking it looks so damn satisfying to see my shiny sexy interceptor getting ready for combat also im stubbornly gonna keep using spark dash and charged strike it looks so much cooler and charged strike explosion detonates nearby enemies and makes everything desintegrate!
I’m really stumped I’m at 494 gs interceptor and was told max gs is 516 but how do I get higher gear when everything is max legendary and max masterwork
Anyone know what "increase oxygen capacity" stats translates into game play? Does it affect thruster speed? Does it allow you to dive underwater longer?
Almost up to the level where I can choose another Joplin so I'm going to have to put the Interceptor as my second and then switch between the storm and interceptor.
Raneris charge + Sudden death = best time you'll have in Anthem hands down. With a few extra legendary weapons/components youll solo pretty much all of g1 as an interceptor, including titans. The squishiness has become a lie.
I agree its super fun just charging into mob packs throwing sudden death around and move to charge into the next one. Sometimes I forget I have weapons because its so much easier to just zip around and round house kick everything.
Interceptor is so fun but when my super doesnt work on titans ;/ I think it should do damage to anything regardless because its ultimate/super. They also need to change some of the abilities for choice.

For the beefier targets I can just dump both charges and it will bring them down or to a quarter hp or so.
5:17 NANI?! Self-resurrection?!
Also, can't wait to see what build you have made for the big boy colossus!
that was the most rare thing and will probably never happen again lol
he died during tempest strike but tempest strike finished and gave him the mele kill healing bonus making him get revived again :O
Jesus, that is amazingly stupendous
can you do another ranger build?
REALLY want someone to do an in-dept video going over whether it's better to have full Masterwork/Legendary components, or stacking the Masterwork/Epic pairs that do the same boost.
For example, there's a component that does +X% damage, and you can equip the Epic and Masterwork variant making it +2X%. You do lose out on the big Armour / Shield bonus. And the unique Masterwork traits (like "use Q increases E damage" etc).
Just wondering for specific builds if using some pairs > all Masterwork, or if it's just not worth it...
I got a sudden death gear with an additional charge as the inscription, so I can use it twice back to back!! This game is so cool.
Lol so did I, chaining explosive drop kicks is some of the most fun I've ever had in a game
Absolutely love this build and interceptor
in the components use vengeance matrix instead of the one that gives +30% damage on 2 gear hits for 5 secs.
Very cool build, no wonder Interceptor can survive high GM, nice one~
Are there any decent boss builds for interceptor? I refuse to give up on this class.
Just use a good sniper rifle like the Devastator and have the masterwork which refills the clip. You never run out of ammo.
There are Interceptor builds that focus on weapons and abilities instead of melee.
I run a marksman rifle build on my interceptor. Using the MW Yvenia. That weapon shreads
For the exploding scorpions get in melee range trigger the explosion animation and jump away. No ammo waste no dmg taking:)
Love this build bro definitely going try and grind for those components
Best kind of build!
I NEED that rolling carnage and the game just slaps me in the face every time
Yo, this is definitely what I'm aiming for except I'm thinking truth of tarsis and siegebreaker for that insane burst damage and CC from range.
Thank you so much. This is an amazing build. I watch all your videos keep up the great work they are the best...
I'm still an uncommon interceptor, will try this build in the future. But so far my javelin is a duelist at best regarding to melee. On hard the basic fodder can deplete my shield in a single attack.
Early game sucks just a little bit but once you get your first master work 😋😋😋 you fuck everything up
@@johnathanmcdonald6984 that's nice to hear. I'm just worried that I have to start all over again since right now my play style relies heavily on the guns, cheesing and kiting a mob, and only engaging in melee one on one. Guess it's still fall under intercepting.
Once you start getting better gear, you’ll be able to experiment.
@Forever Outraged what are you suggesting then?
Forever Outraged alright badass, you run up into a pack of mobs as a low level interceptor, let’s see what happens there skippy
Awesome video. I do think there should be a masterwork weapon that increases melee damage for every minute that the weapon has not been shot or something along those lines. I'm finding that I can go through missions and think that it could be a play style to specialize in. Thoughts?
just saw this build yesterday made by Velirium Anthem he is the best Interceptor player I have seen so far he even solos Titans on GM 1 and GM 2
Nice video! Looking forward to a storm build! Just subscribed!
im wondering if viper's bite be a better choice for sudden death as well since viper is also acid damage with high damage, it gets buffed by serpents vail buff and the acid component. and since your malee is a detonator having 2 primers is not a bad choice also considering viper also speeds up your ultimate charge. so far i am loving your build (i dont have the dash 3 times to reload component yet though sadly still looking for it) thanks for this build though its very fun
@Arekkz Gaming
ok just tested the vipers bite as i got a legendary drop, and it has the inscription of 100% charge so i get 2 charges with it. since your malee is a detonator it actually works really well and you can constantly be in super mode which also helps survivability and damage output.
THANK YOU FOR THIS!
Great channel, btw is the contest uk only or thats just twitter dm is uk only?
Epic build 👌
I prefer the MW Spark Dash and MW Venom Spray for a melee build. That way I can get my ultimate quickly for during those boss fights.
3:38 The question is...... doesnt he get dizzy tho...?
hahah
Thank you Arekkz as always for your high quality guides!
Perhaps full crazy God rolls though will help.
so far I like the viper build more ,ultimate goes up insanely fast, using a legendary serpent thru but will try this build for sure
If you replace the electric one with the vengeance matrix sudden death (after using venom bomb) simply put one shots EVERRRRRRRYTHING.
Stylish and you won’t catch me on gm2+ as long as the loot is still trash
As I am leveling up, I would like to really practice with this as I have been using cryo blade. What are the non masterwork components called? Thanks
Melee seems to work pretty well on the swarm tyrant. I feel like it only doesn't work on the Titans.
I guess I need to get more masterworks.
Actually I found the answer on reddit, it seem to be one weapon from each weapon class:
Assault Rife: Elemental Rage
Marksman Rifle: Thuderbolt of Yvenia
Heavy Pistol: Avenging Herald
Grenade launcher: Insult And Injury
Machine Pistol: Unending Battle
Shotgun: Papa Pump
Light Machine Gun: Artinia's Gambit
Autocannon: Fist of Stral
Sniper rifle: Wyvern Blitz (this is the one I got).
But idk. I’m gonna try running both to see which one I like more
@@navapoomsathatham5128
ok we have reduction of the survives, we still win a huge buff of damage :)
ive been running this since the second i was 30, its just madness the dmg i can toss out with high cdr
How do you do that jump flying slamming feet on ground kick shit?
@
Arekkz Gaming, why don't you run the bloodlust component
Hey would like to say with the interceptor I was able to kill a titan just using the blades it was on hard and am lvl 26
What does the perk mean when it "increases aura pulse strength" ?
Could you break down weapon options in the description please?
What GM are you playing on in the video?
I love this build, and im a big fan of using consumables for that little extra boost. Could you please add what consumables are best to use on intercepter. I've been using melee, armor or gear, and shield. thanks
Melee always. Shield and armor if you struggle with survivability... With the right build and play style you should never need shield or armor but stick with those until you're confident in your build and skill level. Also never face an ursix head on with melee at gm1 or higher... You will die lol
Great info!
Loved the video. 👍🏽
Interceptor Shotgun Build? That Elusive Talisman + Rolling Carnage, and a good combo of components and skills for that? Elusive Talisman works well with the likes of Devastator sniper too, for those big hits...
There's a build out there with 2 tarsis and the elusive so that you can boom boom triple dash boom boom. Absolute boss melter.
they should allow the getting into your javelin video to fully play before matchmaking
it looks so damn satisfying to see my shiny sexy interceptor getting ready for combat
also im stubbornly gonna keep using spark dash and charged strike
it looks so much cooler and charged strike explosion detonates nearby enemies and makes everything desintegrate!
Any recommendations on consumables
Can i u use this build in g2 ? If not wich build do i need to use?
Still waiting on those attack and critical jewels? Lol oh wait different game ;)
Here you will be waiting for Legendary versions of all these abilities/Weapons/components to drop 😉
I Playled for 500 hrs and only got 2 attack Jewels lol
@@UntitledGameShow I played MHW for +1000 hrs and only got 3 attack decos 😂
Lmfao fuck alatreon
I’m really stumped I’m at 494 gs interceptor and was told max gs is 516 but how do I get higher gear when everything is max legendary and max masterwork
I think 516 is the theoretical max, if you could put a legendary in every slot. But I may have misunderstood.
Anyone know what "increase oxygen capacity" stats translates into game play? Does it affect thruster speed? Does it allow you to dive underwater longer?
Yes. It's near next to useless. Its kinda just a dumb tack on bonus to that component.
damn dude, finally.
Is it worth getting Origin when they basically can spy on your hardware?
I like the idea of the build, but I just can't see giving up the weapon damage boost from my ruthless stalker for venom bomb just to buff acid damage.
*I nEed HeAliNg*
For some reason when I read this I can only think of dwarves in WoW. LOL
I NEED A MEDIC BAG!
Titans need timing, your ult will damage them when they're kneeling and you can hit the glowy bits
How long did it take you to find all these I feel like I've been farming forever
Why don't you run the bloodlust component
Now I just gotta get MW especially after this patch that’s about to drop
