I’m a homeowner with a basic submersible pump. After the cycle stop valve was installed to smooth out the pressure for my new sprinkler system 5 years ago, I noticed there was a lot less noise in my garage where the pressure tank is. I presume it is because the water hammer has been reduced, if not eliminated. It definitely sounds a lot gentler.
Thanks for the update. Yes the CSV eliminates the water hammer that makes so much noise, but more importantly stops the damage caused by water hammer as well.
