Sheosar Lake also known as Shausar Lake is another Deosai gem in Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan region. Look at Chillam Chowki, finally west of Deosai National Park, where you find this amazing natural attraction. Lake Sheosar means blind, just as “Sheo” in Chinese means “blind” and “Sar” means “Lake”.
Sheosar Lake Gilgit is reported to be 2.3 km long, 1.8 km wide, and 40 meters deep, which gives it a unique value in terms of size, height, and depth. Sheosar Lake, in the western part of Deosai National Park, is a delightful lake, the best place to visit as you explore Deosai.The Sheosar Lake with its scenic beauty, crystal-clear waters, and tiny green mountains all around it is an ideal setting for camping. Camping is recommended on the north side of the lake in a large square area to protect the tents from strong winds.
A short drive east will take you to the Chakor Pass. Adventure lovers can go surfing. The lake is full of fish and looks good on sunny days. Visitors find peace under the clear sky of Deosai. There are no trees to make a fire carry wood and light gloves or any insect repellent.
