Currently at the pinnacle of the Fenix torch range, LR80R "Darkness Destroyer" lives up to its name with a fierce maximum output that illuminates an incredible area, right out to its 1130 metres maximum range. To support this performance Fenix include a suitably large capacity 12000mAh 7.2v battery.
18,000 and 12,000 lumen temperature regulated boost modes provide incredible combined distance / area lighting when you need it, whilst constant outputs of 50 lumens (12.5 days), 450 lumens (39 hrs), 1000 lumens (15 hrs 40 min), 3000 lumens (5 hrs 10 min) and 6000 lumens (2 hrs 50 min) take advantage of the large battery capacity and torch cooling area to deliver massive run time performance.
For comfortable hand held use, a removable aluminium carry handle and shoulder strap are included. The handle features a tripod thread for mounting the shoulder strap, or alternatively the thread enables the torch itself to be firmly mounted for stable illumination over long time periods for emergency services and work crews.
Fenix LR80R search torch is rated by Fenix to be waterproof to 2 metres depth for 4 hours, so can even be used under water.
Fenix LR80R operation:
The right switch controls High Output Mode.
With the light switched off, press the right switch for 0.5 seconds to switch on, then tap the switch to cycle brightness settings: Low (3000Lm) - Mid (6000Lm) - High (12000Lm) - Turbo (18000Lm).
With the light switched off, press and hold the right switch for 1.2 seconds to enter Instant - Turbo Mode. Tap the switch to select your last used brightness level in High Output Mode.
The left switch controls Low Output Mode.
With the light switched off, press and hold the left switch for 0.5 seconds to switch on, then tap the switch to cycle brightness settings: Eco (50Lm) - Low (150Lm) - Med (450Lm) - High (1000Lm)
With the light switched off, press and hold the left switch for 1.2 seconds to enter Strobe. Tap the switch to select SOS.
Mode Switching:
With either high or low output mode switch activated, tap the other switch to enter the last used brightness setting for that switch.
Lockout Function:
With the light switched off, simultaneously press both switches for 3 seconds to lock the light against accidental activation. The light will blink twice in Eco Mode to indicate locked status. Once locked, if you try to operate either switch the light will blink twice to indicate locked status.
With the light lock activated, press both switches for 3 seconds to unlock the light.

It is most likely commercialized to look like it's "okay" to do, so that people remain in ignorance. But, I assure you it's VERY WRONG, and very illegal. Millions of people are going around claiming they are "Christians", but they are ALL watching me in my private life, claiming they're, "trying to help me." Most of them claim you need to repent of your sins, and not continue in sin, yet all they do is sin by breaking me down emotionally. They have no love in them. One of the best hands down , have a permanent place for that torch on my wildland line bag for night ops . Have had it for almost a year now and the one thing I noticed was a unremovable ring in the center of the glass after being on turbo for close to 16 minutes . Again hands down this torch is a invaluable tool .

I have quite a few flashlights in my arsenal but the Fenix LR80r is the best. My absolute favourite, extremely stable, huge battery and great usability. Better than Olight, Saint Torch or Immalent, which I also own.

My own Fenix LR50R came with a USC-C to C fast charge cable. This high spec model, LR80R, most definitely should have included it. It's not often Fenix makes a mistake like this. I think Fenix should have made this with the 70.2 LED for the $ you pay. Also, the green tint on the low settings may annoy some. The LR50R is the best light I own so far, but I have this one on order.

A very nice review. Also, a very nice and expensive piece of kit. The Haikelite seems to be nearly as good at at least a third of the price. Admittedly the HAIKELITE HK90 doesn't have any bows and bells, as it were. But purely on the performance shown in the review, it isn't far off. The Astrolux MF01S is still quite brilliant (pun intended). Also, in flashlight update terms the poor old Sofirn is now getting a bit tired, which is a shame as it's still a very good flashlight. However, at £400 for the Fenix, I feel that I can live without it. Oh yes, as usual great music.
The mf01s starts to ramp down pretty quick too. Like almost instantly.
Great video. I have the L3K and it performs about identical without the zoom. Had an L2K , also similar, but I like the mirror less modules better. All current Maxtoch's seem to outperform W30, & W4. It will be interesting to see how the new Astrolux / Mateminco LEP compares at about half the price. Looks like they've gone back to the mirror module, their mirror less WP2 and RRT versions were disappointing.

My thoughts exactly. Maybe because it's set up differently, less emphasis on hot spot, more on angle. Now I'm not sure which one to get.

I have the Imalent R60C and it has also 6x SST-70 and 18000 Lumen. Normally i'm a coolwhite fan, but i like the greenish tint in the SST-70, because it brings out all de colors in nature very nicely. Now i have ordered the Imalent R30C with 3x SST-70's and 9000 Lumen. It is that this Fenix light is so expensive, otherwise i ordered this light too.
But you can't have everything.🙃
My last 4 IMALENTS's were faulty so I can't praise FENIX enough though the proximity sensor is a bit hit and miss.

I've always have good luck with Imalent so far. But Fenix is qualitatively much better then Imalent. For savety there must indeed a proximity sensor in it, like OLight has.

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV It's not a reliable company. They also have a hard time with warranty. You have to be really lucky that you immediately have a good light without any problems. I always say a little prayer🙏 before i order a Imalent for good luck. And it has worked so far.😁
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Had my Imalent DX80 for years now with regular use and its never had an issue. And at 32000 lumens from its 8 CREE XHP 70.2s its way BRIGHTER and CHEAPER than your Fenix LR80R. The DX80 is quite an old imalent model now but uses a full digital display that makes the fenix blue leds look dated and cheap. Also the CREE XHP70.2 LEDs are superior to the cheaper LUMINUS SST70 in both lumen output per LED and lower heat due to better efficiency.

Features card says 1200mAh not the intended 12000mAh I guess. Nice for the 45w charge but sorta makes the light disposable once the battery gets some use which is accelerated with 18000 lumens and 45 watt charge.
Good spot, 1200mAh would be a bit shady on the 18000 lumens Turbo mode!

The charger comes with 2 ports. USB 2.5A output. And USB C 45w. Does this flashlight have the circuitry to take advantage of the quicker 45W? And if it does...why on earth do they give you a standard USB to USB C cable I stead of the USB C to USB C to take advantage of the fast charging?
Sorry it's five months late... Look closely at the standard USB end. There is a cap that flips back showing the USB C hidden away. It's a multi ended cable!!! Fenix so smart they make you look dumb! ;) Joking, it took me a few days to notice it.

They really should start using wireless charging instead/as well as usb-c.
Wireless charging really sucs with charging anything this big...too damn slow and produces wasted heat...i like my earbuds and Watch with wireless charging but anything larger and wired charging is far superior.
