I give them credit for at least including SOME diversity in their line - there weren't too many toy lines doing that. Star Wars had Lando and a Bespin Guard, RGB had Winston, Playskool Definitely Dinosaurs had black cave men (I still have mine!), Robin Hood had Azeem, and you nailed the other lines already. I think things are a lot better now, but because so many lines have gone back to retro, we're inheriting the same problems because those lines are set in stone and haven't changed lol Sun Man was an awesome addition to MOTU Origins for that reason.
I had a black he-man action figure when i was a kid but he had a silver chest plate and a double-bladed axe and a he had his own star role action comic book that came with him.Great video bro!😀👍
@@michaelsanchez3822 I have been looking for the action figure that I described and still have not found him it wasn't Sun Man.the little comic that came with it showcased he man in it as well.this has been driving me crazy. And now they have come out with the Tee Man show....why!?😭😭😭 ps more videos plz!!!
Great video cuz I always wondered about He Bro's origin! I also wonder if he was just a toy or in the Filmation cartoon. I just finished watching the whole series, and it has black characters, but I didn't see Clamp Champ. :P Would have been neat to see him in action and hear him speak.
well I initially never really liked him so I thought to myself what the point of this guy, then i realized that he had a kung fu grip that could rival Ninjor and even Jitsu

He was about to appear in the 3rd season of theta show as a replacement for man-at-arms before the cancellation in 2003
So Clamp Champ had inventive skills TOO? I figured he might have created that giant robotic claw himself!

He was designed after Muhammad Ali.
orionpax85 doesn’t look like him but cool nonetheless
Steve James

same I never remember getting to see him in an episode
Wow! This is great.
Cheers!
Never heard of clamp champ

More like Tony Atlas than Ali in the 80's
He looks just like Steve James...SJ was the most popular 80's African American in film that decade...so it makes sense he looks like him...
Nah, that would have been Carl Weathers. I don’t think the American Ninja series stands up to Rocky III/IV, Predator and Action Jackson.
Haha cold showers...
I def. laughed out loud when he said that haha
