Nothing works better. There is a smell in rat poop that brings the rat back to car again. Rat enter through front wheel axil ,then engine ,then through AC vent row to dashboard which is hollow. Put Chilli powder , lal mirch powder two packets entirely on the engine in and around.
This makes rat smell irritating and don't try to enter. Recommend with personal experience. Have put rat mesh , rat trap, rat siren . But Red chilli powder is the best.

I have got this done by 3m car shop twice it is effective no doubt, but if i want to do it myself, i dnt know which all parts to spray or avoid? I notice 3m guys leave some parts unsprayed
You can spray in all those party which are not open to inside of your car...like boot or floor etc.....rest all outer part you can spray and leave it for some time like 2 hr....

Ye wrong use kiya hai. Is ko wire pe coat karte hai. Naya wiring jab install karte hai, tab wire pe coating karte hai. Engine area pe spray karne ke liye alag aata hai. Is ko wire pe coating kiya jaata hai
@YASHRAJ SINGH bhai mere paas hai, maine use bhi kiya hai, isse black colour ho jaata hai, jaha spray karte hai. Uspe likha bhi hai 'coating'. Wiring and coupler p laga sakte hai. Lekin isse smell nahi aata hai, rats ko dur rakhne k liye. Woh difference hai. Repellent spray se strong smell aata hai, jisse rats nahi aayega.

Spray does not work at all. It is just additional step but not ultimate solution. Carcat only works for engine bay, best solution I found is chemical power spreadunder car body, name is clorofharis 1.5% which you can get from agro fertilisers shop for just less than 100 rupees for 1 kg.
And then how to use

Rats doesn't stop coming.
This spray leaves mark on the sprayed area and it's difficult to clean it.
