    Yes John it was long, but this was in a short summary, awesome! Don't think people understand the balanced depth you deliver in your videos. My humble thank you for the content you've delivered and what's to come. Your videos always make me exited and opens my brain to think on new possibilities of solutions in azure. Again, thank you John!

    Hi John, I hope you're well! I'm going through your Masterclass again and find your content to be the best I've come across anywhere. The fact you make it freely available and without annoying adverts is quite remarkable. Thank you so much for taking the time to make it - it's hugely appreciated.

    John, I am fairly new to Azure and I stumbled across your channel by mistake and I must say that this is by far the best channel for learning Azure and its services. Your mastery in the subject and the ability to easily explain concepts on the whiteboard coupled with showing the same on the Azure portal is what is makes the learning experience so unique and rewarding. Keep up the good work !!

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You know sure there are non direct ways to the user it talks Kerberos (but is not Kerberos server) to enable things behind the scenes like sso (and more) but my point is for regular user authentication it does not allow Kerberos based auth to aad. Totally get you :)

    Hi John, Amazing content. I am fortunate enough to start Azure with your videos. I have a question for the password #. What will happen to the two scenarios - account locked in AD and password expired in AD, but both are not reflected to AAD. How they are handled?

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In aad you would continue to authenticate if using password hash auth.

    • @rajatthakur9055
      @rajatthakur9055 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NTFAQGuy Thanks for the reply. Yes I understand it would continue to authenticate. But it would lead to inconsistencies between these AAD abd AD. So I was just wondering how both these will come into sync. :-)

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That state will not sync, which is why aad will continue to auth. If you need that reflected in auth use pta

    John, from what I have seen federation is required if smart cards are used. Do you see that changing?

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Certain type of time base token are now supported with azure ad directly. Certificate based authentication is what smart cards use and I’m not aware of plans for that.

    On hybrid environment if trust is setup between AzureAd & O365 .if we change the password for user in O365 Exchange online does it Change on Azure Ad or vice versa.

      There is no office 365 identity. It uses azure ad for identity

    Hi John. From Sign-ins i can see users are authenticated to a 3rd party SaaS app which is not configured in AAD Enterprise applications, B2C or App registrations. Trying to understand how the app is working for our AAD users. Looks like the
    SaaS app has been configured to use our AAD as IdP. Any idea how this is configured? Thanks

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      make sure looking at all apps and if you have user consent enabled. if so users can use any multi-tenant app but an app will get added to your AAD so should be visible. Watch my video on service principals, enterprise apps to understand.

    Azure is interesting and I love the concepts but as someone who sees tons of on prem environments that are disasters(im looking at you banks) I really cant imagine how much of a mess this will be for companies after theyve been fully invested for a few years. It seems like it would take meticulous management of resources to keep things under control and many 2000-5000 device companies just dont have what it takes. I guess what im saying is that I see a large market for azure cleanup on the horizon.

    Great stuff, a lot in this video but you're style makes it easy to focus for a long time, thankfully. Definitely some TH-camrs that I could not listen to for even 30mins. One question on the b2c AAD , if you had an app that you wanted users to be able to login using their Google for example. Your app would have to be in a subscription that trusted the b2c AAD? A subscription can only trust one AAD? Thanks

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      B2C is a completely different construct and sub does not trust it like regular AAD. Your app can simple use a B2C AAD for its identity needs.

    Hi John good work mate, this is a very interesting video. You have really put a lot in making this content and also making it free. I have a question for you, i work in the health sector we don't allow yahoo or Gmail as guest users to restrict users sharing PII info. but on most occasions our patients have social iD email addresses yahoo or Gmail, How can i share a Teams recording in my oneDrive with such a patient? B2B or B2C??

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      OneDrive has its own set of sharing options separate from B2B (would not be B2C)

    Great how you explain things! I have a DTAP question: can we create a development, test, acceptance and finally a prod AAD within a Azure tenant and link subscriptions to them depending on the environment of the subscription. Do you think this is a good practice?

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that’s too many and would be bad user experience. Also an aad IS a tenant. Each would be separate.
