    Thanks, Géraldine! I heard of all of these cities before, but I didn't realize that the people of Montpellier were "montpelliérain/montpelliéraine". I also didn't realize that the "a" of "Saône" is not pronounced!

    It's very knowledgable vidéo..you mentioned while telling about Lyon City that they celebrate "La Fête de Lumières" which reminded me of the Indian festival "The festival of lights" celebrated at the end of Summer and onset of Winter in the month of October/November. So thanks for sharing the information. 😊😊

    Haha as a French person I can tell you are not from Paris simply from the way you spoke about Paris.

    I travelled to France last year, I've been to Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux and Lyon, and some smaller ones. Only in Nantes I didn't have a local friend to show me around, my Bordelaise friend took me to a vineyard, my Lyonnaise friend showed me the bouchons and told me about the Fête des Lumières. I had a great time in France, hope to see the rest of it someday!

    Hey friends. I am Anshu Kumar, from India. I visited France in January 2015. It was a students' exchange program and I visited the cities of Paris, Nantes, Normandy, and few others.I had beautiful 7 days stay in Nantes, as everyday I used to walk beside the river la Loire to reach the college, Audencia Nantes and return to my hotel.Awesome weather and lovely city. Hope to explore the rest cities soon. :)

    I'm American but I'm actually very good with geography so I have heard of all these cities and I could place Montpellier on the map, it is also the name of the capital of the US state of Vermont. Paris is the only city I've been to on the list which I loved. I'd like to go to all the cities on the list. I really like France and enjoyed this list.

    You want to hear from....moi??? Oui, madame. I have been to Paris (of course). Bordeaux, Montpellier, and Toulouse. The city I enjoyed the most is not on this list. Its population is only around 160,000, I think. Clermont-Ferrand. I would like to return to C-F and Montpellier someday. And the Musee d"Orsay.

    The 2nd largest Spanish speaking city in the world is Los Angles CA. It's bigger than Madrid, Buenos Aires, The largest is Mexico City.
    So where dose cities like Baton Rouge, Lafyette,, New Orleans fit in? and what about Quebeç?
    What about French places outsied of France?

    • @lovedance971
      @lovedance971 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Richard Schroepfer Those would be "Francophone" cities. She is specifically talking about the country of France.

    I believe when you were talking about Toulouse, you said "France Southwest". That's not wrong; I completely understood what you meant, although it sounds better (at least to an American's ear) to say "Southwest France" or - even better - "Southwest of France".

    Désoler mais la ville de Montréal est la plus grosse ville française au monde avec plus de 4.25 million d'habitants
    Source:
    www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/en/tv.action?pid=1710013501
    Et la viloe de Paris n'a que 2.2 millions d'habitants, t'on 12 millions c'est plus qu'une villes qui fait t'on 12 miloions c'est de la triche!

      Hello Tusk, please know that Montréal is in Québec, a region of Canada, and thus does not qualify as a French city.

      also don't compare the population of the cities in their administrative border, and the population of the agglomeration (several cities jointed). there is not 10 millions peoples in Paris "intra muros"...

    • @elizabethgonzalez-1143
      @elizabethgonzalez-1143 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Joe Caissy I think you misread. The title says 10 biggest French cities, which does not mean francophone, it means French, as in "in France".
