Thanks buddy! U inspired me to buy a Coleman Powermate 1750 at a thrift store today for US24,99. Little used, full paperwork, half a cup of varnish drained from tank, started first pull on a shot of ether and ethanol free gas. Runs smooth and makes power. About the same compact size. Has a Kawasaki engine! I watched yer vid, went out, found, ran!
Awesome video new sub here, emulsion tube above main jet remove from top with alen key (small end cut down), clean air fuel mixture jet, o-ring superglue great to make right size, need paper gasket between carb and manifold, use break cleaner to further clean and spray into carb air intake for kick start wonder if you ever got this running good?
I think you'll find, once you have it running, that it's a 220v output. Ignore the American sockets. Honda were no averse to cutting the odd corner, and many of their generators came to the UK with American socket, but outputting 220v. I think too, that you might find that the missing item from the control panel is actually your frequency (Hz) meter. It's a 6v reed indicator common to most of Honda's early portable generators. It's usually wired across the panel light, which takes a 6v AC tap from the low voltage winding on the generator stator.
@@hfraat25 I don't doubt that for a minute. We have a few early Honda generators from 300 Watts, up to 4kW, all with USA sockets, and all with 220V output. We simply bought some Honda generator plugs, and made up some adaptor leads, though other folk have been known to butcher and botch a 13A UK socket onto the casing, but it always looks ugly and amateurish.
I had one of these i found in a hedge, all the tin work was rusted to bits but i ran it for ages as an open frame generator with a plastic bottle fuel tank.
Must be the going rate I got a em650 had 2 faults stuck exhaust valve some oil and rubber mallet fix and the crapy fuel cut off I replaced it with a manual cutoff because I like to drain the carb
Hey Adam when you bath a carburator in hot water it cleans up the linkages and throttles to turn. That is the reason for ultrasound. You break them before you do this.
That's a pretty cool little genny, ashame she doesn't quite run yet but tbh I think your looking at a new carb for this one or atleast a rebuild kit for it, apart from that she looks a solid little unit barely any wear on those internals 👍
Looking forward to part two, when it springs into fully-working life. You are either very chilled or all the swearing (which there would be if I was working on that) is edited out.
I enjoyed that. It’s like we’re along for the ride. Your accent is priceless. Thanks

Great content as usual 👍
Glad you think so!

Well that was a challenge but looks like you beat the little engine and it's going to run.
Well done Adam great watch again
🕷 @22:20 took me by surprise 😆
I saw it too lol he wasn't happy his house was being cleaned lol
He pops back out at 50:52 from behind the carb …

Done the hard bit , perseverance and a bit more time will tell.

I have a homelite lighting bug..600 watt made in the 80s by Yamaha for homelite
Course it will run ! Am pretty confident it will 👍am sure four star was phased out in late 90s ??.
I m Nigel from Lincolnshire in Holbeach
I’ve got a Kawasaki generator I got the valve freed up and she fired up
Can't really beat Japanese reliability mate.

Lol. No I'm just pretty easy going. I never swear on camera to be honest.
.recoil not wound tight enough
I REKEN THE CARBURATE NEEDS BETTER CLEAN UP
why waste time on a 500 watt gen wont even run Mr. Coffee or Mrs Tea in your parts lol
