Always enjoy your videos, super adventures and thanks for sharing. A couple of years ago my XR sprung a radiator leak and I fixed it the same way like you did, nearly the same spot too. ;-) Like you said, a temporary fix always works best !! I can only agree, three years later it still holds. NEVER leave home without a stick of that steel putty is my advice. ;-)
@@erbe-robo I'm fine. I changed my job. XT is on the move, already 113k kilometers. Also looking for different dirt roads. I'm exploring Karelia, away from civilization) How are you?
@@AlekseyTurovskiy yeah, the XT is a monster! Karelia is such a beautiful place to be. Too many swamps, but I love the deep forests. I'm good. I was planning a big trip for this year, but that didn't happen. I sold the PR7 recently. No need for a big bike at the moment. I would love to go somewhere far again, but I don't expect that to be possible in next couple years really. If at least the Russian border was possible to get across I would love to visit some places.
@@erbe-robo well, I am exactly there now in my thought-process: PR7 or even smaller. so my only fear is that the EXC (or the husky 501) have oil intervalls that are too short. what are your experiences?
@@Dustywayoffroad for riding around Europe it's not a problem at all. You will find countless people who have done oil analysis to determine the degradation for their use. The official interval is for racing. Typical adventure rider can go easily up to 60hrs if not overheating the bike too much. Most people tend to do the the oil somewhere in 20-40hrs interval depending on their usage. You can easily do 2000-4000km on the oil. Not that it's any difficult to buy 1Litre and change in anywhere on the go if needs be.
Nice scenery, good bike, great riding and thumbs up for the awesome soundtrack. Propper riding music in my earpieces when riding! How's the bike holding up?
Thanks a lot man! The bike itself is a brilliant machine for aggressive rider. It has it's own little things that need attention, but overall it's a great bike. If you are after something specific, please check out comments on my older videos. I have answered many technical questions there. Cheers
Fantastic ! I have to say you manage this bike very well ! Is this bike lowered ? Could you be so kind and tell me how tall are you or how inseam you have, please ?
Hey ! The bike is standard height, no lowering at all. Lowering is a problematic subject. Using just lowering link you will mess up the geometry and the bike will behave like shit offroad. You cant lower the fork in the triple clamps at all, the wheel will touch the front fender when bottomed out as is . The only correct option is to do fork and shock internal adjustment, which is costly. And lowers the travel of the bike of course. I am 170cm with regular legs, not sure about he inseam. Just before I bought a PR7 I also bought a 2 stroke enduro bike on which I learned to ride a tall bike a bit. Without this experience, the PR7 would be hardly usable in these conditions with my height. The is no way for me riding offroad sitting down, I just barley reach the ground with one foot tip.If I want to have a whole foot on the ground I can't be sitting on the seat anymore. That said, the PR7 is a big and heavy bike for me. That is why I sold it eventually.
@@erbe-robo Thanks for detailed reply ! I see I am going similar way , I just purchased KTM 350 EXC for enduro training and I am planning to buy after a year an AJP PR7 for long distance off road adventure riding . I tried already Tenere 700 for serious trial riding in UK . It's very capable bike , but to much top heavy for me right now . I thought AJP PR7 being almost 40 kg less heavy would be an awesome bike and I am surprised that AJP PR7 seems to be heavy for you to the point you are thinking to sell it ! I know how good AJP PR7 is off road , but what about on road riding ? Is it OK to ride on the motorway for 1.5 to 3 hours with almost constant speed of 140km/h ? Regards Lukas
@@lukmxtr9604 well, I can't really say. I don't like to ride that fast. And on the bike as off-road capable as PR7 I mostly ridden more aggresive tyres which I would not like to shred on the highway just to save couple minutes on transit anyway. On long trips (the KolymaTrip) I was doing around 100kmh and on this trip I was going much slower most of the time. Rarely more than 80kmh. I rode faster only offroad I guess :-) Regarding the weight. The PR7 is officially 165kg and I weighted mine just after it came @ 170kg. That is before you put anything on it. My previous CRF250L was 155kg fully fueled & kitted and being lower it was day and night difference. I didn't expect the PR7 to feel that much more heavy, but muscleing it around the garage (I had both of them at the same time for a while) the CRF was like a bicycle compared to the PR7 honestly :-) Same goes for handling it when it drops and such. PR7 is fantastic going fast more easy terrain, like rally and aggresive riding. CRF shined at the opposite, slow, technical, no hurry.
Just drove up this today. Absolutely superb trail.

love it... have you sold your f800gs? I rode that with the gs - but it's too heavy and I'm thinking about buying the ajp pr7 too..!
yes sir, many moons ago. And to be honest the PR7 had the same fate. Still too heavy for me. I'm on the EXC500 for adventure riding now.
