Sounds like a great solution for remote connectivity! Thanks for sharing.

Hi, I have a very similar setup. I can connect to the S615 through Sinema RC Client but it only gives me access to the IP address of the S615, not the rest of the local network with the PLC. Do you have to set up static routes on the S615 to map traffic between internal and external?

      Hi Will.
Exactly. You need to allow traffic between internal ports and the external port. Also, you need to define the participants groups and Subnet (your PLC IP address range) on your server under Devices and Network setting.

@blociot hi, thanks for the reply. I managed to get it working. On SINEMA RC server, I selected NAT mode 1:1 for the device and entered the IP subnet and now its working. Thanks, great video

So for this solution you installed the SRC in a Virtual machine in the cloud, right?

Hi Christian. Yes. It's in a cloud VM. There is a documentation for installing SRC on AWS. Same applies for other clouds. Overall, the installation is straighforward.

Thank you for watching. I wanted to create a video for configurations, but I noticed Siemens already has two videos for them. Please watch this video for server configurations:
      th-cam.com/video/MB-CgRcOi6U/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
and this video for the client configurations:
      th-cam.com/video/rfVeN04wu-8/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
      I hope this helps.

There is NOTHING simple about setting this up. it's a complete nightmare as expected from anything with a Siemens name on it!

Hi@@simonmaton. What part did you find complicated? Setting up the server, onboarding the devices or using the client software? I'm a Siemens expert so can't comment on the complexity of Siemens platform. For me, Siemens is very easy to work with because I can figure anything out from the documentation.
Also, what other vendor do you feel comfortable working with?

@@blociot Hi, thanks for replying, we are currently struggling with trying to get the M876-4 module to connect to the 4G network. The configuration requires a user name and password for the SIM card, according to every phone company who supplies SIM cards the is no such thing as a user name and password for the SIM, I'm currently testing with a Vodaphone card in Australia.

@@simonmaton I see. I hear you. Cellular is sometimes annoying. But if you have set up the modem using the wizard, defined the antenna, etc. properly, and entered the SIM info correctly, it shoupd work. I've commissioned several cellular modems and they all worked after some simple troubleshooting.
