I'm a British white lady and I got saved in a black church 1968. One sister taught me how to play tambourine exactly like this - and I still do it!

black churches were not even integrated in the 60's...its nice to dream!
This was in east London. There was no such thing as black/white segregation in the UK. I was introduced to Afro Caribbean church by my nursing student colleague, as the Caribbean is British.

Man, I may just be a country white girl from Kentucky but this is CHURCH. Wish I could find one like this here in Seattle. I miss the old pentecostal churches of the south where I was raised. KY, TN, AL, etc. This brought tears to my eyes. I used to play the tambourine in my old church too. I got into it, played my heart out in worship with the choir until the rings fell off, but I couldn't tear it up like this sister. LOVE that old song! I was sitting here tapping my foot & singing along.
