I truly miss this choir. Their vocals were great. You can tell Olanda had them well trained to produce such high quality sound. His infectious energy will forever be missed. They are hands down one of the best gospel choirs.
@@pmodel1 He was from Memphis and passed away too young....I believe the choir still performs! We used to see them perform every year - absolutely incredible energy just like represented in this video.

Our leader Olanda was the best. We miss him so much. We still celebrate him every September 29th. As we get together and reminisce the good times we had with him as we ministered around the world. We were and still are a family. ODA for life. 😊
I'm literally in tears of inspiration and appreciation because I miss this type of Gospel Choir singing so much!!!! R.I.P. Min. Olanda Draper, you were a true gift to the world.
I had the honor and privilege of singing with O’Landa Draper and he truly was a man of faith. We had Bible study, worked hard and Holy Spirit would minister to us during rehearsals but it paid off when it was time to minister. He was anointed to direct, write songs and minister. His contribution to gospel music and anointed music history lives on. All praise to God🙌🏽🙌🏼
I loved O'landa Draper. He was gifted and talented. He was well before his time. His music and movements are yet effective today. The Associates were off the chain. Rest on O'landa.
I agree. Olanda Draper is truly missed in the gospel music community, but many people uploading many of his videos like this on youtube shows that his legacy still lives on even after 20 plus years after his passing.
I was so heart broken when he passed. I did get to see O'Landa Draper live in concert and he was full of energy and the Holy Spirit! He was funny too when he was directing the choir.
Everytime I look back I’m forever amazed. God has given us some blessed gifted and anointed people, I was born in 1991 so I didn’t get to fully experience this man but I do remember some of his songs thanks to my mom. Thank god for technology though, it allows us not to forget the things that need to be remembered which is great for the future generations
Every centimeter of his body worshipped as he directed the choir. It must have been a wonderful, wonderful thing to have had this gentleman as one's choir director. How I long to get to experience something like this, and let my children also be able to experience it!

He ALWAYS gave the glory to GOD. Though he had become quite known for / as the innovator of his own particular style... He NEVER took the credit as an innovator etc. He NEVER failed to let people know that is wasn't about him, but about GOD. I don't think he ever set out to innovate... Rather, just to worship, praise and to be his own individual while doing it. #Amazing

mrm64 I was in my first year of college when he passed away and I WEPT! Oh God I wept...my HS gospel choir LOVED his music & was known for singing his songs. We did this song (as a smaller version of the choir) as a tribute as an alumni choir.

This song is SOOOOO hard to sing. Its a capella & and to have to move to top of range to bottom of range super fast & that one part where the section has to stagger breathing cuz you go immediately from one line to the next & no music to cover the entire section breathing at the same time. We practiced this song FOREVER, but its still one of my very favorite songs!!!! A woo woo... :)
Still here listening in 2024! Praise the Lord!!!
