- In this video, I'll be taking a look at Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jabiim) from the Kenobi tv series. This figure looks great - but... The sculpt of the outfit hinders articulation in a very bad way. I was initially on the fence with this figure, the promotional images just didn't sell him very well. Sculpt looked a little weak, and paint-apps were a bit sloppy.
Now that I've seen your review, though, I think this could potentially be my favourite Space Jesus. The likeness and overall sculpt is beautiful. Shame about the articulation, though, but I would mostly display him in a "diplomatic" pose, anyway lol

I was ready to pass on this figure based off some of the other early reviews I had seen where the figure looked bad/off. However, your figure looks really good. Re-adding this figure to my cart lol

I hope mine looks as good as yours. Those early pics of figure scared me. I was so excited for this guy. Not perfect but I don't feel like it's a regret purchase. Solid video man.

Totally agree with you Matt, mine arrived yesterday and while the likeness and sculpt look great, it’s just a shame that it interferes a bit with articulation. Still think it’s the best Ewan Kenobi in the line thus far tho, guess we’ll see if the final look Obi-Wan beats it!

For the tunic, maybe a hairdryer for a few minutes would help to soften the plastic some? I really need this figure too though :P
A hair dryer would definately soften up the tunic. But, once it cools, I'm curious as to what shape it would be in. It is in the way and it's unfortunate. Apart from that, the figure looks great. Hope you can score one soon. Thanks for watching! :)

The sculpt is tremendous. I think you're right Matt, that's one of their better Ewan McGregor likenesses.
Re: the hampered movement. I'd maybe try heating the figure up and moving the arms and hands to see if it improved poseability. If not then maybe trim away a little of the robes with a scalpel.

I think the chest portion of the tunic was really wide in the show too. When watching, i remember thinking, where did they find this baggy jedi top so quickly?

It's very nice. This is the one I wanted but only in plastic packaging. I am hoping since they are going back to it, it might be re-released in the window packaging.

Hmmm, I don't know, they would need to redesign the WHOLE packaging just for a re-release, if I were you I'd just get it this way🙌🏼

I cut the sticking on the ends on the end where the curl up on the first one I bought and I can find the hood down correctly.

Not one I will rush out and buy, but, I think you are spot on about the likeness Matt, this one "EASILY" beats the previous two BS figures released from the Disney+ Kenobi series.
I currently only have the "Wandering Jedi" version from the Kenobi series and when I got it in hand I was just so disappointed with the head sculpt on that one so much so that I don't even have it on display, lol, but, this Jabiim one could be tempting down the line👍
Now that I can compare the faces, this one is much better. It's actually one of the better likenesses in the line. I just wish the figure was more posable. I appreciate you watching! 👍🏻

@@gasti_musri Mace is a great figure. Both versions. The head sculpt is one of the best in the line. As far as I can tell, I don't believe there's any reuse.
The hood is way too big and long in my opinion.
Hasbro has always had a problem with hoods. So many of them are massive and can be very frustrating. Thanks for checking out the video!
