First of all, you should check whether the drivers are installed in the computer. And if the drivers are installed, look in the device manager. Is there a yellow mark on any port? When the mobile connects without pressing the volume button, the MTK Preloader part comes in the device manager. Due to which the Timeout error occurs. It is important to press both the volume buttons while connecting the phone. And it is also important that MTK USB Port should appear in Device Manager. Not MTK Preloader
