💬Plot summary:

My husband is the same way, he once told me, if ever being pregnant and both baby or my life at risk, he prefers to save the mother. Idk, but some men have this mindset. And women, they might want to save the baby but you gotta think about the father and the baby you leaving him with... without you yourself. Everyone had their own opinions on that situation though

Even when reading my poison consort book. long feiye asked how everything was and the lady was like the baby is fine and he was talking about his wife. Men were able to have as many wives/consorts as they wanted. Woman was only able to have one husband and no other man in their life. Plus sons were considered better than woman because they could carry the family name
For me saving the mother should be preferred not that I don't care about baby but you should care about person who is already living in this world first( that's my opinion)
Some ppl end up resenting the baby for surviving with the lost of the mother... while moms might go crazy with the lost of the baby, but I think for fathers... moms over baby seems logical/makes sense bc the mom is the most important to the father while the baby usually is most important to the mom... and between a father vs a husband... husband wins more I believe... still both sides have bad feelings all around.

He also says later in the episode that without Jin the baby basically wouldn't be without her. Which to me means that while the baby is important because it comes from her, she means more to him than just being an baby making machine. She is his Jin, with or without a baby.

Basically, she pushed her lesser sister into the marriage because is his reputation and she was scared he's not gonna treat her well. Obviously she was wrong, her sister was loved and doted upon so now she's jealous because she thought it would've been her being the beloved wife if she was the one married instead. You know, the Duke's wife is pretty nice to Jin'er, even though they are not blood related. She still cares for her.
They are half sister so technically they are blood sister. She is the oldest, her mother is the first and legal wife the other two sisters (the bully) are the daughters of a concubine and jin’er is the daughter of a maid who is the mistress. That’s why the other sister bully her, because jin’er mom is a mistress that the dad had the affair with and because he is the dukes for his reputation he decided to keep jin’er and her mother. All of them have the same dad just different mom.

It was originally supposed to be her but she threw a tantrum and pushed her sister into it because of his reputation. Obviously he's not a bad "demon" so now she's jealous because she couldn't be the beloved wife being doted upon by handsome husband. Also the bully is 2nd, our main girl is 3rd. The General’s Lady, is a beautiful and romantic show. I love the actors. They are both beautiful and handsome. The scenery is so very beautiful. The costumes on the General, are stunning and very masculine. I love his robes. Jin’er is a wonderful actress, and very beautiful and charming. They really make a beautiful couple. The storyline is fantastic. Loved this show.❤️♥️♥️♥️

Me too. I watched an excerpt, and then watched the whole thing. Loved it. After that it was Love and Redemption, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, Nirvana in Fire, Joy of Life, Love and Destiny, and Reset. I'm currently watching Sword Snow Stride. And that's just C-drama. I'm deep in Kdrama too. I'm completely hooked and can't watch Western shows anymore lol

Their are many good episodes in this series but to me, this was the best. Sisters fussing at each other, fighting & defending the one their closest too. Their were 4 of us, I was the oldest.

@@drastaaa7241 I cannot understand Mandarin that much, but the translation from this fansub group seems to be so modern and feels "lazy" at times to me when I see they take shortcuts in using some terminology. I used to be a fansubber, but spent hours for 1 episode quality checking everything and making sure I don't use slangs or modernized idioms. LOL I wish this fansub team took a bit more time because I have seen many parts with weird English or weird word use. 👀👀👀
Sign of miscarriage means cramp or light spotting or heavy spotting. Since she was pushed in the table, those are the first possible signs of miscarriage and it is best for a patient to bed rest and avoid work or heavy lifting to give the baby a better chance of survival and development in in the womb.
@OP, I am rewatching on Viki, subtitles are 99% better and higher quality, with translator's notes! Go rewatch on there. I'm discovering new context in parts that I had missed before with the weird word use on these two TH-cam versions.
