Hammer Elementlist users united, we can hit 42k ish on tempest condi and about 38k ish on condi cata (unsure about Weaver) alongside with the power version being good (nice to see 41k as I was only getting 39k on my side atm). With the damage reduction with condi builds (Earth Signet and Hammer Earth orb as 2nd orb) you can be very tankly despite being a low armor/hp dps and the cleaving of power, hammer is a great sidegrade to sw/warhorn currently (tho I was already using hammer over sw/warhorn just because the feel was better). Will need to see how good my Q/ADPS condi builds are as well since they were performing well with hammer with solid boon duration (since i rather have boon upkeep even if a mistake or downtime happens), be probably hitting close to 30k or 31k with my QDPS condi build of 30% BD as it was hitting 29k before.
the numbers i have seen atm is: power hammer cata 42,2k (not mine) condi hammer cata 41k condi hammer tempest 42k condi hammer weaver 42k power quickness cata 34k condi quickness cata 33k condi alacrity hammer tempest 33k so definitely things looking good
@@xchris5662 Everything is looking bright in hammer's future and overall place alongside other weapons, also good to know through your testing that condi tempest is 42k and condi catalyst can push above 40k (wasn't sure as I was AVG 38k-39k). I'm happy to see hammer is now in a spot to be used as a sidegrade and sometimes the better option in a fight (I can see several potential times when hammer might be safer as the weapon choice while not giving up too much dps compare to the meta weapon choice).
Now that sword and hammer are benching pretty similarly I must decide which to play. Hammer just feels oh so good to play, but sword/warhorn is able to build energy so fast at beginning of your rotation if things get scuffed is also quite nice. I think hammer might be the way I go, because fun>usability.
i think it depends on the fight, there are gonna be places where the advantages of sword/warhorn show much more compared to hammer. i mean sw/wh is overall still stronger no question about that, but on fights with downtime sw/wh is definitely better due to being able to build up stacks during downtime (for example Adina)
i am gonna try that, condi hammer tempest gave me good results though (42k small hitbox). hammer weaver ended up at 40,5k. not great, not horrible but maybe i am doing something wrong
@@xchris5662 Alright, i just tried it and my rotation is garbage and ended at 41,5k (with elementals). I think it could be a viable option for people who dont like the scepter rotation.
Hi! Im kind of a newbie on catalyst and was interested in this power build. I don't have the latest expac yet so my options are limited. The snowcrows build doesn't have the hammer version anymore so I was hoping if by any chance you still have this build saved somewhere? If not, wo worries!
if you like the build go for it. no reason to wait for the next patch because it is highly unlikely anything will change. right now it is in a good spot, it is just that it competes with sword/warhorn which does more damage with an easier rotation. but personally i prefer hammer so i would always recommend it
can't wait to see you on pistol/warhorn, i've reached 41k with the same build as scepter (not fully ascended, no infusion and not the proper food and utility) , i'm pretty sure that you can hit 45k.

probably dragon pieces since you get more crit chance and faster stat accumulation so you can get some more ferocity that way, also mounting or mist form breaks orb too now, basically anything@@Back0
@@Back0 17k hp is the normal for 10 ee catalyst with jade core/reinforcement buff. i haven't swapped anything but you could swap if you just loose precision. if you swap from berserker to dragon's you trade power for ferocity which might be worth it to some extent but i haven't done any calculations
@@Nightcrawl7 yeah i was thinking valkarye since you trade precision for vitality. With full berserker you get 114% crit chance at max stacks. I didnt know with dragon you get more ferocity. Adding some condi dmg instead of precision would be ideal but i dont think we have such stats. We'll see once all the nerds... I mean scientists do their calculations whats best.

Yo chris did you try condi hammer weaver? The 5% dmg bonus could be interesting in comparison to scepter weaver

yea, it is the exact same build as snocrows but with hammer instead of sword/warhorn and the utilities i have slotted in this video

Also i see you are at 17k HP. Are you swapping a few Berserker pieces for Valkyrie?
