i don't think spear has that good open world potential. it is power oriented and when it comes to power, nothing can compete with hammer in that scenario. also spear severely lacks fast energy generation which doesn't help when you want to provide your own boons. the only good thing i guess is the range. i mean i can try to solo something for fun but i don't think i can do too much on it

it is not fully ranged because you still need to use augments inside the spheres. and you drop spheres on the boss. but it is mostly ranged. it just doesn't feel very content friendly, especially for mechanically heavy fights

it is not a build that anyone plays that is why i didn't show it at the end. but you can definitely find it in older videos of mine. i replied you in another comment, it is pretty standard condi build tbh. and the sigils are malice/earth

it is full viper's, trapper runes, fractal relic, fire 1-1-1, earth 2-1-2, catalyst 2-1-2

i am comparing it to other builds, for example both condi tempest and weaver do ~44k. but of course you can play whatever you want and fun should be your priority

also here i am showing the builds since you complained in other videos. i just don't do it everytime especially for builds that aren't that important in the meta

i did use water 3 in my previous video to reduce the cd of earth 2. but it doesn't seem worth it, not just because of the movement but mostly because it slows down the rotation and isn't really needed to combo for stacks

sadly no, it doesn't allow you to immediately reset the good etching skills (for example volcano in fire). people who have tested said that it works if you wait a bit but that kinda beats the point of resetting your skills and moving to the next attunement if you need to wait

@@xchris5662 works only after the last etching has faded (i.e. the big circle), so you'll have to wait 7 seconds to to use it again fully charged

@@Hashuu it is the same as snowcrows but with spear instead of sw/wh. It is definitely not that easy to hit 40k considering the nature of this build

well i like samarog as a boss in general because due to short phases between every cc it allows for some extra optimizations in the rotation. i like hammer catalyst on cm because it is more interesting to play on a slightly moving target and the range from hammer in fire/air can be useful when the boss is locked inside spears for a while.

it just happened in this group, but i also don't think MO is a boss where tempest excels (due to hitbox). the highest log for MO cm on this patch is this where you can see that it is still not that much higher than my dps here gw2wingman.nevermindcreations.de/log/41daf-20240731-013029_mo_kill. but yea in the end the difference in benchmarks doesn't neccessarily mean there is gonna be a difference in actual fights, it also comes down to how skilled you are

@@xchris5662 Interesting, would not have thought it to be this close between power catalyst and power Tempest at MO right now - especially because of its small hitbox. Trusted my gut feeling so much that I didn't took the time to check wingman which turned out to be quite wrong. But yes, definitely, skill is a huge factor on bosses, always great to look at your POV's for these small optimisations I love to implement as well - so great job!

i have double/right click to attack/interact so i do it unconsiously because while using my mouse but it is irrelevant on elementalist because i also have autotargetting on so nothing can miss the boss

yes it does, it is an effect every legendary hammer has and when it comes to aurene legendary variants, since they are a different version as well appearence wise, they also change it individually

it is viable. it is outdated damage wise

Also you dont need such defensive utilities, you can check my channel for videos that i uploaded recently but the build uses basically the same utilities as condi weaver but replace primordial stance with lightning flash
