The sport is getting bigger as a whole every year and this year has been and will be massive. So I personally think the cards will gain value as time goes on
That box was rough man. You are definitely due for a good one soon. You said it perfectly, the only way to really make any money in this hobby is buying singles and either grading them or holding until the value goes up. Opening boxes or buying into breaks will always be a losing proposition over the long run. It’s the same in all sports. Honestly, there’s less value in most basketball and football hobby boxes. You can hit really big cards, but the boxes are incredibly watered down.
At least there’s that chance still. 😅I’ll get the GF to help with the next one. Thats gotta be it. 😂

I look at opening boxes like a Slot Machine. I know the odds of my $100 being a loss, but what if I hit that Jackpot? Each pack is like each spin. Opening boxes is my Nostalgia, the gamble of pulling a card to pay for the box, is my thrill.

That's kinda wild that it took you several hobby boxes to finally hit your 1st Gold from Topps Chrome... meanwhile I hit Gold in my 1st blaster box 😅 & here I thought the Golds must just be a lot more common than I was expecting, but apparently they're not.

The topps chrome is hard to make money for sure but now that ive opened everything, megas are the best bang for the buck in my opinion.

I’m starting think the blasters are the best value with this years product. I ordered 1 like a week ago and got a Maycee Barber auto. I have 5 more coming in 2 days. $121 total for 5 of them.
Just be careful man, blasters can definitely burn you.

Boxing cards aren't going for a lot either. I got 90s cards, and the value hasn't gone up very much, if at all besides a few.
Next month will be a year for my 2023 silver izzy auto. I've really been thinking about telling them to send me a replacement when they notify me next. What would you do?

@@victorm9479 they’re only in blasters & megas. They’re called the “embedded” insert. 1:11 mega packs , 1:23 blaster packs. All the info for hobby will be in the “everything you need to know about Topps Chrome” & the blaster/mega info is in the “Differences in hobby, megas & blasters” video. 🤙
Panini made much better designs for UFC cards. I have not had any luck with Topps. Given that they have no competition right now they don’t have to put many hits in any given box.

I have never sold a card 😂. I think I sort of relate their value to stocks, just sleave it and maybe in like 10 years it will be worth something.

Basically. But as I said. Not every box is the same. My past 2 were arguably worse. I’d say 100 back on a box is what I’d expect. Singles are definitely the way to go.
