The chorus might sound like any emocore band, but the watered down, simplified meshuggah riffs do def not (American bands started doing that shit massively after 2010). Also, no band was playing in a tuning this low back then (mostly Meshuggah too).

This band just gets it. A huge reason this genre is kinda dead in the water is because it's simply not as "fun" as other popular styles. These guys are so fuckin fun to listen to. Like try to be upset listening to this, you can't.

Confused as to why people always try to make out Metalcore is “dead”. It’s far from it. There’s plenty of quality Metalcore bands still around doing great things. I remember being 18 back in 2006 and people saying metal in general was dead. Here we are 16 years later and metal is alive and well.

@infectedlust1311 Melodic metalcore and the emo/scene kids back in the 2000s took metalcore from the hardcore punk scene and elevated it to the mainstream and it's probably one of the best things to happen to evolve the genre to what it is today 🙌🏼

They’re making fun of bands that still cling onto that cliche. I love the old early 2000s & 2010s metalcore, the running man, swinging guitars around like maniacs, getting low (crabcore) but it’s time to let go of most of that stuff & do something new. Bring something new to the table. That’s the message of this song.

Had the pleasure to see these guys 2 nights ago with Stray from the Path and Silverstein. They were openers and had huge energy on stage and from the crowd. I hadnt heard of them before and they have rapidly become one of my favorite bands. Glad i got thr chance to see them.

I realized after having just turned 35 or 36, whatever it is now, and having listened to the overall tailspin that my favorite music genre, metal, becoming increasingly shit...feeling hopeless for not just the scene and for society as a whole having become totally compliant with status quo and things "just being the way they are bro" and being told repeatedly to just accept bull shit hypocrisy and whackness happen all around me... It's very refreshing to see music like this this much energy and the right message instead of some cookie cutter bullshit fuckin 3 chord progression song.
I saw your clip featured on nik nocturnals channel when they shut you down by cutting the PA and that's where I'm coming from so shout out to both of you but yeah right on anyway this is a cool thing to see. And now I'll go retreat to my old man recliner do research on something like glucosamine or continue researching my theory that I have symptoms of early kidney disease from all the Vicodin and dope I used to fucking do because I grew up in a bullshit town with nothing to do.
TLDR; Don't eat 100 Vicodin a day for several months maybe years and this music is refreshing to see.
